This role is an outstanding opportunity to personally shape and manage the risk appetite of Credit Suisse Group, its Divisions and Subsidiaries. You will have the chance to build a vast network and have exposure to senior partners across the bank. As part of the Group Risk Appetite Team which is embedded in the broader Enterprise Strategic Risk department you will in particular be responsible for:

  • Based on Business Strategy and Financial Plan assess CS Group’s risk affordability and risk appetite for scenario and economic risk capital metrics
  • Allocating risk appetite from Credit-Suisse Group to legal entities/ branches and divisions. Challenging risk appetite partners on their requested level of risk appetite
  • Coordinating with senior partners (i.e. Divisional/LE CROs, Finance & Business) explaining risk metric movements and drivers of the various models used within Risk; explain risk model linkage to capital, earnings, limit setting and the risk appetite process
  • Researching and developing appropriate methodologies and processes to establish Risk Appetite for CS
  • Run ad-hoc risk analytics for risk appetite and related areas based on senior management requests
  • Preparing high quality presentations and analysis for a diverse audience from senior management, to senior risk management committees and non-risk forums
  • Preparing of various regulatory submission material on Risk Appetite Framework to FINMA, Fed and other supervisory colleges
  • Managing the risk appetite framework maintenance, ensuring the framework is up to date and aligned with all internal and external regulations


You Offer

 

  • A degree-level education (or equivalent) in a numerate field. Professional or post-graduate qualifications within a meaningful field i.e. ACA/ACCA, CFA, FRM would be an added advantage
  • Detailed understanding of broad risk measurement frameworks, including Market Risk (e.g. VaR) or Credit Risk management as it applies to Private/Retail Banking or to Investment Banking advantage

Yelp is looking for security engineers to keep us safe and sane as we build out our desktop, mobile, business owner, and administrative websites. It's an opportunity to have tremendous impact and broad scope protecting Yelp's data, our employees, and our millions of users. Additionally, Yelp’s future growth in the transactions space has many security implications, both in traditional application security as well as in privacy controls and fraud and risk analysis. 

As a Security software engineer, you'll be responsible for partnering with different engineering teams at Yelp to help build features, tools, and libraries to enable security by default. Our end-to-end, award winning Product Management team within the post trade technology space delivers complex, high impacting, high quality & timely solutions across different platforms for a variety of CIB stakeholders. About the individual - this role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Experience  in technology architecture and the software delivery lifecycle

  • Experience in process optimization, simplification and automation

  • Understanding and experience of an application’s evolution from the initial planning and design phase, through build into operate and finally retirement and decommissioning

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas, processes and recommendations effectively at all levels including senior management

  • Ensuring technology architecture governance and control for 2,200 active applications in CIB

  • Improving tools and procedures relating to technology architecture and driving standardization across CIB

  • Defining and communicating CIB policy and guidance relating to technology architecture and the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Running a small portfolio of projects and associated working groups to improve processes and tools relating to technology architecture and the SDLC in CIB

  • Helping to run the CIB Architecture Governance Design Authority Group (DAG) and CIB Architecture Governance Forum

  • Representing CIB’s interests in meetings and forums run by Corporate program teams in the areas of technology architecture and the SDLC

  • Coordinating the review, approval and guidance of:

    • use-cases for new commercial software products in CIB

    • use-cases for open source downloads and contributions

    • exception cases for the usage of divest rated or prohibited software products ensuring low risk, cost effective migration plans

    • new application requests and the on-going governance around applications as they proceed through the application lifecycle

  • Developing, updating and publicizing guidance for the technology population in CIB, in a continuously evolving environment

  • Responding to requests for help from the CIB technology community.

    

About the individual - this role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Experience  in technology architecture and the software delivery lifecycle

  • Experience in process optimization, simplification and automation

  • Understanding and experience of an application’s evolution from the initial planning and design phase, through build into operate and finally retirement and decommissioning

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas, processes and recommendations effectively at all levels including senior management

  • Experience in chairing and coordinating meetings and large forums involving senior stakeholders

  • Good negotiating and influencing skills

  • Understanding of methods and tools used by the technology community throughout the SDLC

  • Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes

  • Proven ability to work independently, across multiple teams and operate effectively in a global organization.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.

Desirable Skills

  • Project management skills ideally with a technology background

  • Experience in risk and risk control compliance

  • Experience with third party commercial oversight for Software or SaaS

  • Knowledge of open source licensing, membership agreements and other collaboration methods

  • Experience of application architectural standards.

The role involves (but is not limited to):
