The Role

  • Financial analysis of a wide range of real estate transactions, including modelling of real estate cash flows, financing assumptions, IRRs, output sensitivities etc., as well as research to support key underwriting assumptions

  • Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational bench-marking

  • Full involvement in deal execution including managing internal work-streams, liaising with external brokers, liaising with JV partners, etc.

  • Preparation of documents for internal and external purposes, including assembly of investment committee memos and presentations to JV partners

  • Ability to work well within a small, relatively flat team

The Person

  • 2-4 years of experience within a top tier private equity firm or investment bank

  • Comprehensive coverage of the full cycle of equity transactions and acquisitions

  • Robust analytical and technical / financial modelling skills

  • Proven experience in investment / financial analysis and transaction support for all asset classes

  • Energetic, self-motivated and a team-oriented individual who thrives on a challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Professional and positive attitude, diligent

  • Willingness to work across time zones and geographies in Europe and USA from time to time, as required

  • Experience in presentation preparation and research

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Fluency in English and German essential

The role will start as a right-hand man/woman to the fund manager working on corporate real estate transactions, structured real estate debt investments and opportunistic real estate deals.

They are looking for someone who, after 12-24 months, is willing and able to step up into a fund managerial position.

* Continued development, optimization and improvement of existing strategies

* Conducting research and quantitative analysis of cryptocurrency markets and market data

* New strategy idea generation, development and integration

* Active operation of strategies in response to market news and movements

Required Skills

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a quantitative environment

* Excellent programming skills in some rapid prototyping environment (e.g. MATLAB, R or Python)

* Good programming skills. Any other language is a plus.

* Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills

* Proven success working with large data sets and developing statistical models

* Excellent knowledge of linear and non-linear regression analysis and neural networks.

* Knowledge of common machine learning frameworks

* Self-motivated and self-directed in personal growth and learning

* Interest in Blockchain and cryptocurrency.

* Experiences in cryptocurrency investment are Preferred.

My South Manchester based engineering client is currently looking to recruit a Head of IT, with a background in either the engineering or manufacturing sectors, to come into the business and provide leadership on existing projects, new and innovative projects and business as usual tasks.

As well as proven experience of creating, driving and implementing new strategies you will have responsibility for managing and maintaining the performance of key infrastructure systems and guiding the business on budgetary spend on IT infrastructure.

In this role you will have several high level, strategic responsibilities including overseeing IT operations, supervise systems and internal IT staff as well as third party contractors, monitoring daily operations including server hardware, software, and operating systems.

As well as this you'll be coordinating IT activities to ensure client, server, and data availability as well as network services and identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security.

You'll have some experience in evaluating technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.

A key aspect of this role will be leading the development of strategies related to the organization's IT infrastructure including PC, server, network, telecommunication and IT security and helping to support business growth in the coming years.

You will have experience of determining business requirements for IT systems, directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware, identifying and recommending new technology solutions and leading the delivery of an industry 4.0 roadmap to a digital manufacturing operation.

The initial focus of the job will be to assess the current infrastructure to deliver improvement strategy and also to look at my client's new site and lead the strategy for the facility.
