IT Development Manager required for a Pharmaceutical organisation based in South Croydon. My client is seeking a proactive, hands on Developer to manage and develop their range of current and upcoming internal systems. You will be required to make changes, manage development projects and provide support where necessary. You will assist in their move from MS Access to SQL Server and be encouraged to suggest business changes to improve performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and development of company systems including patient management, finance, EPOS and intranet
  • Develop applications and websites in C#/VB.NET
  • Management of the continued move to cloud based solutions
  • Oversee IT projects including development, system implementations, updates, upgrades and migrations
  • Manage vendors, outsource companies and work with internal stakeholders across the business

  • Assisting with transition of any activities from projects to service delivery
  • Support and develop skills of other team members in this area of expertise
  • Work with the desktop and applications manager, ensuring objectives and priorities are aligned with the business’ vision
  • Deputise for the desktop and applications manager and support the team in attaining operational goals

  • Utilise the service management toolsets, providing timely updates to agreed standards for all allocated Incident and Service Requests.
  • Liaise with other support teams, internal senior management and suppliers in the day to day management of Incidents and Service Requests
  • Ensure onsite IT equipment stock levels balance the need to deliver instant stock provisioning to end users and making necessary financial commitments
  • Understand the end user’s operational needs and the business impact of all interruptions to service
