Field Application Support Engineer - Dundee

Abrecco's Dundee based client i currently on the lookout for a Field Application Support Engineer to take a lead role in organising exhibitions, visiting clients (both here and abroad), gathering requirements, and delivering solutions and product training for a comprehensive suite of applications used by an exciting and broad customer base.

This is a key role within the company requiring flexibility to travel, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly understand technical subjects. A background in/exposure to C/C++ and/or LabVIEW would also be highly beneficial.

Role Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing solutions for our client`s customer base
- Effectively resolving support requests
- Organising events/meetings, mainly outside of the UK (averaging once a month, lasting around 5 days)
- Taking the reins on promotional activities (e.g. updating brochures/datasheets, recording videos)

Personal and Technical Attributes:
- IT literate with a broad technical knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals and groups
- Commercial experience in the Design and delivery of technical training
- Highly motivated individual with a positive outlook who is organised, efficient and can plan ahead
- Positive, confident and pro-active approach to customer support
- Happy to travel, internationally, when required
- Experience of C/C++ and/or LabVIEW would be highly advantageous
