We are ETPA (Enterprise Technology Production Assurance), an advanced and dedicated team staffed with a diverse skill set.  The ETPA Systems Engineer combines traditional systems admin skills along with advanced application support, automation, and troubleshooting skills to enable rapid resolution of critical issues with CME Group's electronic trading systems amongst many Clearing Applications.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and running large-scale, massively distributed, fault tolerant, and latency sensitive applications that run CME Group's business and provide our customers with extremely fast access to our markets.  This individual will work on systems that must achieve a unique blend of ultra-low latency performance, the capacity to seamlessly facilitate the busiest trading days during times of turmoil or surprises in the world economy, and rock-solid reliability and integrity, all while undergoing rapid release cycles.  It's a very critical and exciting role where every day is different, challenging, and rewarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with our Technical Operations and Business Operations teams on critical issues by evaluating the problem, proposing and implementing resolutions, and partnering with other teams (DBAs, Networking, Development, etc) as needed for the resolution.
  • Solves problems creatively and communicate effectively.
  • Deploys in-house and 3rd party applications with a keen focus on automation and hardening.
  • Identifies and resolves performance issues and bottlenecks within the specified SLAs.
  • Collaborates with our Global Information Security team to provide secure solutions.

  • Ability to provide effective and timely solutions in a very fast-paced environment where multitasking and attention to detail is critical.

Requirements:
  • Bare metal Kubernetes on Docker administration
  • Istio and Envoy are a big plus
  • Linux scripting, and application troubleshooting
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong automation scripting skills (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc)
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Traditional networking, particularly the ability to troubleshoot issues that involve the network, interpret packet captures, and diagnose connectivity issues.  Multicast experience is a plus
  • Container and service mesh networking and troubleshooting
  • Configuration management and change management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical support.
  • A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant proven work experience that is required for the specific job title.
  • Technical skills supporting 3rd party applications including .Net/C#, Redis, Tibco FTL, Kafka, Docker, Jenkins, and Chef.
  • AWS or relative cloud experience.

About the Role

As an IT Operations Security Analyst, you will support, develop and continually improve the organisation's security infrastructure protection processes. You will focus on maintaining operational stability in the face of new security threats, rapid technological change and requests for changes, reconfiguration and reporting requirements for compliance.

UI Artist Required – 100% remote

We’re looking for a solid and talented User Interface Artist to help create amazing User Experiences for our gaming partners.

The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, are great problem solvers and have passion for User Interface design and experiences. The candidate will be responsible for helping create and drive the core backbone and pillars of a User Experience along with creating aesthetically pleasing User Interfaces that raise the quality bar in Design, Art and Animation for AAA Game Development. The ideal UI Artist will help lay the foundations of UI Design and implementation requirements, through to Branding documents and style guides.

Ideal candidates therefore would have an exemplary history having made aesthetically-pleasing and contemporary user interfaces on the latest console platforms (mobile experience will also be considered too).

Responsibilities -

Day-to-day tasks will be working with the UI Manager, other members of the UI team, Code and Design to establish and maintain core UI documents and concepts. You will also be responsible for creating brand guidelines and ensuring these are maintained throughout Game Development as well as implementing core features of the User Experience.

You must be a great team player and have the ability to work closely and communicate with developers.

Requirements -

  • Excellent Visual Design skills.
  • Excellent Graphic Design and Motion Graphics skills are essential.
  • Excellent presentational skills in all areas of communication.

The candidate will be responsible for helping create and drive the core backbone and pillars of a User Experience along with creating aesthetically pleasing User Interfaces that raise the quality bar in Design, Art and Animation for AAA Game Development. The ideal UI Artist will help lay the foundations of UI Design and implementation requirements, through to Branding documents and style guides.

Ideal candidates therefore would have an exemplary history having made aesthetically-pleasing and contemporary user interfaces on the latest console platforms (mobile experience will also be considered too).

Responsibilities -

Day-to-day tasks will be working with the UI Manager, other members of the UI team, Code and Design to establish and maintain core UI documents and concepts. You will also be responsible for creating brand guidelines and ensuring these are maintained throughout Game Development as well as implementing core features of the User Experience.

You must be a great team player and have the ability to work closely and communicate with developers.

Requirements -

  • Excellent Visual Design skills.
  • Excellent Graphic Design and Motion Graphics skills are essential.
  • Excellent presentational skills in all areas of communication.
  • A Strong understanding of branding and marketing Artwork requirements.
  • A strong experience in use of GUI tools and a strong understanding of implementation pipelines. The candidate would have implemented strong User Interface experiences from start to a shippable product.
  • Excellent communication, time-management & organisational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of UI design.
  • A proven track record of User Interface experience.
  • At least 2 shipped AAA games.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Up to date with the latest UI design trends.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and any industry standard UI implementation tools. (The candidate will be be using our own in-house bespoke interface implementation tool).
  • Knowledge of console TRCs is highly preferred.

As a Senior Developer, you'll be capturing the requirements and design, build & deliver risk and stress reporting systems focusing on C#.

What will you be doing?
  • Writing code to specification for one or more applications / products during the build phase of the software development lifecycle focusing on C#
  • Testing the code thoroughly and liaise with business users to ensure delivery is fit for purpose
  • Working directly with stakeholders and technology teams to understand requirements both near-term and strategic
  • Validating the technical design meets the business requirements
  • In partnership with the component, functional and asset class teams across Market Risk design, build and deliver in line with the Market Risk strategic roadmap)
  • Contribute to the testing of the deliveries with the stakeholders to ensure they meet the needs of the end users
  • Make a key contribution to the front-to-back on-boarding and delivery of data and reporting requirements

  • Experience of mentoring or managing others
