Working on eCommerce projects, you will have a high degree of understanding of PHP & Magento. We are looking to convert all of our Magento 1 websites into Magento 2, followed by the development of brand new stores. There will be the opportunity to work on plenty of PHP based projects from the off, usually in WordPress and Laravel. Project planning is important to us and you can expect to be involved from every part from inception to deployment.

Essential

A technically adept DevOps manager with strong experience in Release and QA, you will be required to manage the roll out of continuous improvement across the organisations tech stack, ensuring changes to live systems and services are undertaken with minimum disruption and that the security and integrity of live services are maintained throughout the release process.

Role Description;
  • Working with business owners to ensure testing scenarios are built into the definition of new business requirements/ use cases.
  • Liaising with Digital Services to ensure technical checkpoints are built into design/prototyping activities.
  • Managing technical product owners and external technical suppliers to ensure business requirements/use cases are translated into their technical system specific components, and each component is sufficiently detailed and precise.
  • Scheduling and cross system co-ordination of these components are continually reviewed so releases are kept aligned with potentially shifting business priorities
  • Working with technical team and external technical suppliers, ensure changes arising from technical debt, technical architecture optimisation, infrastructure and security considerations are incorporated into the appropriate release.
  • Ensuring rigorous QA takes place in a timely manner before any change goes live by working with external suppliers and business owners to develop testing capabilities and processes.
  • Proactively managing all aspects of testing – unit testing, UAT and regression testing.
  • To manage the release process into live, covering go/no go checkpoints, rollback planning, communications and post release testing in the live environment.
Experience required;
  • At least 2 years experience of managing releases across multiple interdependent technical systems;
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and improving testing processes.
  • Demonstrable experience of writing test scripts.
  • Experience of formulating use cases and associated testing criteria.
  • Experience of issue tracking tools.
  • Experience of testing automation tools for functional, regression and performance testing.
