You will be required to work across different projects carrying out both service calls and high quality installations within the high end residential market. You will be working with various audio visual systems, HDMI technologies, networking and network switch configuration, Crestron/Lutron control systems.

Essential skills:

  • 2-5 years experience within Smart Home Installation.
  • Excellent fault finding skills

We have been asked to recruit for an established 200 year old textile company headed by the 5th generation of the founding family.

With an already well established and career focused team at the helm, they are looking for someone who is confident working with integrations of web API's and systems and can comfortably work in a matrix environment within the business to integrate these external API's with their internal ERP systems.

This role is going to suit a technical minded individual who has a background or degree level SQL experience with SSIS or SSRS and has aspirations to fine tune their integration abilities and ERP systems full life cycle capabilities.

Essential Skills:

  • Working knowledge of SQL and ideally SSIS (Integration services)
  • Experience of writing stored procedures
  • Knowledge of web API's and databases (ideally SQL)
  • Experience of integrating third part web API's with their internal ERP system (Intact IQ)
  • A keenness to pick up new technologies
  • The willingness to be part of a team that communicates and explore new ideas and creative thinking.
  • Happy to speak to different people across the business and external vendors and carriers.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Intact IQ - training provided if not.
  • Experience of working on multiple phases of an ERP software implementation

The IT Supervisor installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users. This position will also require oversight of the help desk staff and ticketing system, providing guidance where needed

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve helpdesk requests from end users via telephone, walk-ins, email, text message, and IMs in a courteous manner.
  • Apply diagnostic utilities and best practice methodology to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading hardware, software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
  • Setup and support mobile devices
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

Personal Specification

  • In-depth understanding of the Windows desktop operating system.
  • Knowledge of Networks, PC hardware, and software
  • Experience with VLANs, Network balancing, Cisco Meraki, Access points, Switches, Security appliances, Office 365 management, MDM management, Windows 7 and 10 Pro as well as some MAC and Linux
  • Ability to explain or teach the technical procedure to non-technical users
