Exciting opportunity has arisen to join a School's IT team based in Newbury. The chosen candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and managing a wider range of IT Systems across the Schools Infrastructure. Working within this small team you would also need help assist end-users when required.

Key Responsibilities 

- Work closely with Deputy IT Manager and IT Support Team

- Day to day management of operations of the IT Helpdesk ensuring all requests are dealt with in an efficient manner

- Monitoring and maintaining of all key systems including switches, virtual & physical server environments and backups

- 2nd/3rd Line Support and helping mentor IT Technicians

- Enforcing and monitoring in line with School policies. 

- Internal Staff Training

Experience/Skills Required

- Experience in similar role within a School/Educational body is desirable 

- Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Operating Systems 

- Virtualisation Technologies 

- Cloud Technologies -Office 365/Azure 

- Network Switches/Firewalls/Routers 

- Liaise/Manage 3rd Party partners and vendors 

- Strong communication skills and high level of customer service.
