Our client has been so successful in their market their product is being utilised by 50 million customers globally and have clients both at government and global crop sector level. Our client receives 1.5 trillion monthly data requests from their customers!

Their infrastructure spans six continents and consists of more than 700 servers as well as third party edge infrastructure. Most of these servers are bare metal, which act as endpoints for speed tests and other measurement traffic. These have very high bandwidth - sometimes 100Gbit/s! Their broader infrastructure uses a mixture of bare metal and cloud-hosted services.

They use MySQL for their smaller databases, and Presto (built on top of Hadoop) for their data warehouse that powers their analytics platform. Their web applications all run on Apache or Nginx, and are written in PHP, with Java and Go in the mix too.

Our Client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Systems Administrator to join their growing Infrastructure team. The team is responsible for building and supporting the sizeable infrastructure that is the foundation of their services
