I am looking for an experienced MI/BI Developer to join a well-established business who are constantly growing and developing. You will be a key part to the BI team and have a large input to how the team are shaped and developed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical aspects of MI, Reporting and Data throughout the business and to external partners following best practices at all times.
  • Support and develop necessary Data integrations, MI and Reports in conjunction with business and project needs using tools such as SQL (both on premises and in the cloud), SSRS, Alteryx and Tableau
  • Complete and evidence full validation of MI and Reports to the core insurance systems ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure Data Quality and Accuracy Control - ensuring that there are robust processes and procedures in place to support a single version of the truth view through all MI and Reporting by adhering to strict data governance and development frameworks in line with the data strategy within the team.
  • Technical lead on Business Acquisition Support - new MI, Reporting and Data integrations, ongoing management of acquired systems feed requirements into MI Manager
  • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback to other team members and MI & Data Manager.
  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
  • Technical advice around Data, MI and Reporting communicated to non-technical stakeholders (ranging from Team Leaders to Project Managers and Directors)


Skills Required

  • Technical lead of small to med teams.
  • High degree and understanding of robust ETL & data management and best practices
  • Understanding Robust experience of Cyber / Information / Data Security risks and how to ensure databases / systems delivered are highly secure.
  • Robust / up to date knowledge and experience of Technology and methods in the MI & data space.
  • High degree of commercial / operational awareness of data and associated technologies in business.
  • Demonstrate understanding of different project management styles to promote continuous delivery.
