Civil Engineering software support consultant required for my client, a software business who provide solutions across Civil Engineering, Trade/Supplier Management and Accounting.

The ideal candidate will have some knowledge or understanding of the software used within Civil Engineering for example:

  • Civil 3D,
  • Site 3D,
  • Storm CAD,
  • Autodesk,
  • Bentley Civil Engineering Software
  • Microdrainage
  • Innovyze

You will have:

  • Previous experience of providing second line technical customer support / or knowledge and experience gained in the Civil Engineering industry and a willingness to provide technical support.
  • Experience of working in a software application support team / or knowledge and experience within Civil Engineering and have a desire to help others.
  • A relevant degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following activities:

  • Assist in analysing customers business requirements and application objectives to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop the deliverables (code, test, debug, documentation etc) as specified, ensuring that the solution provided in in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Conduct periodic status checks with customers and teams to assess progress against plans to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Assist with proposal development and post-integration reviews to evaluate the process and identify areas for development.

This role will suit candidates who are already providing support for civil engineering software/solutions, or someone who is currently a "super user" of relevant software and would like to further progress that experience into a more formal support position, alternatively someone who currently has a role in Civil Engineering and wished to utilise that knowledge in a different environment.

The role is based in Slough, however remote candidates can be considered depending on experience.
