Desktop Support Engineer - 6 Month FTC

A fantastic opportunity has arisen on a fixed term contract to work for a global industry leader in bespoke security equipment as they continue to expand on a grand scale. As an experienced Desktop Support Engineer you will provide effective IT support to all their European sites, primarily supporting the upgrade of Windows 10 / Office 365.

The responsibilities of the Desktop Support Administrator include:

+ Configure, maintain and provide Desktop support to all users

+ Provide support for all applications running on servers and desktops and all hardware associated with the applications

+ Help develop IT solutions to meet the business objectives

+ Desktop support experience

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and 8

+ Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003+ above

+ Knowledge of Backup Exec and\or Comm Vault back up software

+ Networking experience (for desktop troubleshooting)

You will be able to showcase the following skills:

+ MCP / MCSA or MCSE qualification

+ Desktop support in multi user environment

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 / 10

+ Microsoft Office 2010 and 0365

+ Networking

+ iPhone / Android handsets

+ Full UK driving license needed

This is a great opportuntiy to join a busy and successful company, some travel to other UK and European sites will be required when needed.
