We are looking for a proactive Business Analyst to join our Edinburgh based team. Ideal applicants will have some Business Analysis experience and be familiar with BA tools and techniques, process mapping, and change control. You will sit within the Projects team that has responsibility for assessing and fulfilling change request. These requests can range from small to large projects across the HR/Pensions & Benefits range of processes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support our senior analysts to assess change requests to the contracted scope of processes

Duties/Description

Substantial experience as a software developer specifically working with NAV C/SIDE C/AL development language SQL Experience Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD) experience.

The role in Staffordshire can be based in the office for 2 days and then can work for 3 days at home. The NAV Developer’s primary responsibility is to carry out all configuration and development activities to the company’s Microsoft Dynamics NAV system. In addition to this, you will be required to analyse and contribute to functional specifications provided by business users and produce technical specifications in line with customers, with additional activities using SQL and .NET, and creating integrations to Dynamics NAV

  • Configure, develop and deliver MS Dynamics NAV software and components in all functional areas
  • Create/modify existing customisations and integrations as requested by the business
  • Debug system problems, design and implement resolutions
  • Installation and implementation of service packs and hot fixes as needed
  • Technical liaison to business groups for application support
  • Support and drive process change and communication in line with NAV best practice
  • Assist with functional specifications of customisations and integrations required for NAV implementations
  • Provide 3rd level support to Service Desk
  • Assist in training junior team members
  • Work with key stakeholders in the business to gather application requirements and provide estimates
  • Take responsibility for delivering development tasks within agreed timelines
  • Coordinate and contribute to end-user training including development of system documentation and training materials
