Essential

  • Full stack .NET (C#, IIS, SQL)

  • Able to design, tune and manage relational databases
  • Able to analyse and interpret complex customer requirements, evaluate options & varied information and present a sound business case
  • Strong systems and technical knowledge across multiple business areas
  • Able to work independently, without ready access to more senior officers, assertively and under pressure in delivering to very tight deadlines and managing conflicting demands
  • Able to work with concentrated mental attention for lengthy periods on a range of activities e.g. problem solving, requirements gathering, design, build and test and the full range of software development lifecycle activities using an iterative and incremental approach
  • Able to work in a structured way with skills in time management, capacity and resource planning

  • Experience of and the ability to operate within a political environment

This role will be responsible for the implementation of security policies and processes, deploy and managing security solutions and administrating the current Security environment. Main duties include explaining the purpose of and providing advice and guidance on the application and operation of security controls. Performing security risk, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis, first point of contact for IT, Business Services and business users regarding security concerns, Technical security solution management and configuration, interpreting information assurance and security policies and applying these in order to manage risks. Providing advice and guidance to ensure adoption of and adherence to information assurance architectures, strategies, policies, standards and guidelines. Using testing to support information assurance. ICT, and represent Warwickshire Police ICT externally on matters of ICT
security, including linking with NPIRMT and other national bodies.
-To ensure that technical security measures in place for our ICT systems
are aligned to nationally set policing security standards, and keeping step
with changes driven by the National Police Technology Council and the
NCSC.
-To lead the technical investigation of any cyber-security incidents
impacting Warwickshire Police's ICT.

Essential Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in an ICT subject or significant equivalent work
experience.
-Professional qualifications in technical security, ideally CISSP.
-Significant experience being the organisational lead on technical security
ad providing associated expertise to projects, activities, colleagues, and
senior management.
-Experience working with intrusion detection and/or prevention software

Candidates should have experience in other Bluelight services, military, defence sector of the Government and/or Central Government agencies.

The successful candidate will be subject to Police Vetting, therefore must have resided in the UK for the at least the last 5 years.
