The Data Management Architect will take a lead role in delivering solutions to digitize the Bank's document lifecycles via a new Enterprise Content Management (ECM) / Content Services Platform (CSP) solution, in the Data Governance Team alongside Business and Data Analysts.

The primary responsibilities of this role will be to:

  • Define, manage and communicate core set of design principles which the CSP will be defined by inclusive of the Data Dictionary and Current and Future-State data flows.
  • Engage with business stakeholders across The Bank to understand and classify existing content
  • Collaborate to define standardised workflow, models and data catalogues as part of future-state operations.
  • Design practical solutions to deliver on The Bank's Data Governance Policy
  • Plan and manage the migration of business processes to the new solution
  • Implement design which drives efficiency, contributes to better controls and is repeatable

Additional duties may include

  • Manage 3rd party vendor relationship and work with their delivery team to implement solutions which will contribute towards digitising The Bank's operations.
  • Support Project Manager in project planning and delivery
  • Alignment to The Bank's Technology Architecture principles.
  • Adherence to The Bank's Security controls and best practices.

Experience Required

  • Significant experience in implementing Enterprise Content Management solutions preferably within financial services through all stages of project life cycle.
  • Experience of repository structure and integration designs which standardise the way organisations manage their data
  • Experience of delivering data architecture on premise, in the cloud or as a hybrid.
  • Knowledge of data integration, transformation, storage and analytics.
  • Experience of significant paper reduction across large and complex structures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor the delivery and content to the audience
  • Able to transform a large number of complex and diverse business processes into consolidated, structured and standardised data flows.

Competencies and Skills

  • Able to interpret legacy business processes and translate into innovative solution design through effective business engagement
  • Familiarity with graphic modelling approaches and tools
  • Project team leadership. Able to articulate vision, mentor and inspire team members both internal and external to execute against it.
  • Business Analysis skills expected
  • Project Management beneficial
