You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders in Forensics to deliver on our strategy and meet the resourcing needs of the national UK team. About the role

We’re looking for a Resource Manager to work within our Forensic team based in the Deals Line of Service. As a Manager within our team you will have both strategic oversight of the deployment of Forensics consultants within a specific Business Unit, as well as accountability for the talent supply/ demand within a specific area.

This role is ideal for a candidate who can work in a fast paced environment, highly reactive with complex and challenging situations. It will require someone who is ready to take ownership of a varied workload and drive forward improvements to fully benefit the team as a whole.

You will have the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders whilst dealing with complex issues and changing situations.

This role will report into the Cluster Resourcing Leader for Forensics and will have 1 direct report.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the team by optimising headcount, manage/oversee joiners, leavers and secondments, increasing utilisation and being aware of the impact on employee engagement

  • Delivering the manpower and resourcing plan by having a deep understanding of portfolio growth plans and headcount required to support these; balancing these with the needs of the individual

  • Conducting regular portfolio reviews to ensure maximum utilisation, development and fair allocation of work for each individual

  • Interpret and Analyse Management Information (MI) to provide trends, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability

  • Share knowledge, best practice and network with your colleagues across the business and Resource Management Function

  • Support the Senior Resource Manager with recruitment interviews and inducting new staff

  • Engage and promote the use of key resourcing systems including demand management, optimisation and forecasting tool

Essential skills and experience

To enable us to deliver our strategy, we want to attract Resource Managers from varying backgrounds and industries who have experience in:

  • Delivering business outcomes in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Developing and sustaining long term relationships with key stakeholders in the business, Resource Management and other operational areas

  • Developing yourself and the team by seeking opportunities that stretch and challenge

  • Input to the Resourcing objectives and vision for the business unit/line of service

  • Influencing and creating a vision for change by championing the delivery of change

  • Involvement in recruiting and retaining team members

Responsibilities

  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to think laterally

  • Ability to grasp complex commercial issues quickly

  • Demonstrable interest in infrastructure finance and public sector transactions

  • High ambition coupled with the ability to deliver and to work effectively both individually and in teams

  • Agility in terms of supporting multiple projects across a range of sectors and geographies

Audit - Senior Associates - Asset Wealth Management

A career in our Financial Services Audit practice, within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you’ll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients’ information.

Our team helps financial organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business. Our clients cover industries within banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance, and consumer finance. While many of the rules of business have changed, the fundamentals haven’t. You’ll work alongside senior members of the client’s management team in planning the audit process from beginning to end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and fair presentation of our client’s information.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above

  • Train and lead staff

  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand


Essential skills
  • ACA or equivalent

  • Focussed and initiative driven (required to maximise growth potential)

  • Experience of working with clients in the UK Financial Services industry and more specifically Asset & Wealth Management industries

  • A passion for delivering an exceptional client service

  • Proven ability in leading audit engagements, including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments

  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities

  • Experience in supervising and developing staff

  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships

  • Experience of supervising and developing staff through coaching

  • Strong project management

  • Knowledge of International Accounting Standards and/or US GAAP
