About the roles
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Managers (BDMs) to work alongside our Telecommunications, Media and Technology sector leaders to drive the go to market strategy and execution in the sector.
These roles require somebody with business development (BD) and sales experience to drive pipeline growth, build our profile and deliver revenue generating activities in fast-moving sectors at the ‘target’ and ‘interact’ stages of our sales process. They will need to be tenacious and driven, with strong influencing skills and impact.
The successful candidate will operate as part of our Private Cluster Activation Hub, reporting into the Pursuit & Proposals lead in the cluster. The individual will also be a key member of our sales capability.
Impact of the role
The primary purpose of the role will be to work in collaboration with the Sector Leaders, Activation Hub and wide Sales & Marketing community to best position PwC to win the top TMT strategic pursuits and grow Consulting revenues on strategic client accounts.
To support the growth of our market profile, develop C-suite relationships, understand the pipeline position, and interventions required to deliver to plan, as we strive to become the UK’s leading transformation partner to our clients. BDM will support the enablement of Consulting sales for the cluster through 5 key lenses:

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development of GTM plans that enable execution of FY20/21 strategy including targeting priority and growth accounts
  • Leverage PwC Transformation marketing campaigns to create distinctive market voice / share insights / generate sales leads
  • Advise on optimising content & marketing assets / channels so Partners & Directors can drive their personal brand
  • Create and manage Consulting led sales campaigns that build and share sub-sector level narrative on issues-led transformation
  • Use BXT mindset (Sales Methodology) to help create our own demand, get in front of clients more and win more work
  • Create & embed tailored account / pursuit based marketing plans on strategic pursuits
  • Drive data quality in salesforce so that the reliable insights generated inform growth priority decisions
  • Engage with Strategic Alliance Partners to grow the digitally led transformation pipeline
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers on Board / Exec clients.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Significant experience in BD and sales - ideally in a professional services environment, but this is not essential
  • Experience in building and executing sales campaigns and lead generation activities
  • Experience in using CRM systems to drive and track relationships and campaigns
  • A commercial outlook with a focus on results
  • Strong relationship and influencing skills
  • Resilience and tenacity
  • Good communication and team ethos
  • Foundation knowledge of marketing campaigns, thought leadership and events
  • Experience / background in TMT sectors would be advantageous but not essential

Prudential Risk and Regulatory Consultant - Managers

About the role

The prudential regulatory regime continues to evolve with developments such as CRDV and ‘Basel IV’ in addition to the challenges for firms arising from the significant increase in supervisory scrutiny over prudential regulatory reporting (including potential external RWA assurance expectations and Skilled Persons Reports over capital and liquidity). In addition, firms and regulators need external parties with the right experience and expertise to provide independent assurance over the capital and liquidity ratios and associated reporting.

We are looking for candidates who have detailed regulatory technical knowledge and experience, including the associated technical rules and guidance, in one of the following:

  • Pillar 1 credit, counterparty credit and / or market risk regulatory capital requirements (standardised and/or model approaches) (including leverage and large exposures). This may also include the associated regulatory reporting (e.g. PRA and COREP returns); or

  • Pillar 1 liquidity including LCR, PRA110 and NSFR. This may also include the associated regulatory reporting (e.g. PRA and COREP returns)

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy, assurance over regulatory reporting, remediation and responding to regulatory developments. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Being a member of and leading teams on large and small engagements - working as part of a project team on client sites and day-to-day liaison with clients

  • Identifying the impact of prudential regulatory change and supporting clients to adapt to the challenges a new regulatory landscape presents

  • Working on projects relating to various components of Pillar 1 credit, counterparty credit and market risk and/or liquidity requirements including regulatory reporting and associated governance and controls, risk management frameworks, policies and procedures, risk measurement, monitoring and reporting

  • Preparing regulatory analysis and reports

  • Supporting senior team members through the development of marketing and sales activities

  • Relationship building and networking with clients and internally across PwC

  • Providing input to the debate on development and application of regulation and participating in PwC’s Thought Leadership

Essential skills
  • Educated to degree level

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good numerical skills

  • Knowledge and experience of at least one of retail, commercial, wholesale and/or investment banking sectors

  • At least four to seven years’ experience in financial services prudential requirements. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered at the Senior Associate level

  • Strong relationship management skills as well as experience in project management and/or managing small teams/individuals

  • Experience of problem solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions tailored to a client’s needs

The technical skills we are looking for are specific to Pillar 1 capital and liquidity requirements. We need individuals with skills in a combination of the following:

  • Detailed understanding of the COREP and other PRA prudential regulatory reporting requirements and associated governance and controls frameworks (relating to capital and/or liquidity)

  • Detailed understanding of the overall credit and/or counterparty credit risk management lifecycle and associated credit/counterparty credit risk and the policies, procedures and strategies employed to manage this risk.

  • Detailed understanding of trading books and market risk requirements and the policies, procedures and strategies to manage this risk.

  • Detailed understanding of liquidity requirements and the policies, procedures and strategies to manage this risk.

  • Deep technical experience and expertise in existing and future regulation in relation to credit, counterparty credit and/or market risk

  • Hands-on experience of IRB, SA-CCR, IMM and VaR

  • An ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex regulation

  • Experience with governance and risk management frameworks and systems and controls supporting prudential regulatory requirements

About the GCDO Governance & Alignment Team

Global Chief Data Office is a new global function in PWC recognizing the data driven nature of the organization and enablement of new digital practices. The Governance & Alignment function within the GCDO is responsible for both establishing a community of Chief Data Officers and supporting the territories with readiness for the Digitising the Network programme, as well as maintaining the previously established BOS governance bodies whilst aligning future state governance to GCDO vision.

This role reports into the GCDO leads for Data Governance and Alignment.

To support these initiatives, we are looking for someone to:

  • Lead the engagement with the territory Chief Data Officers and leaders on behalf of the GCDO, establishing & harvesting relationships to support greater collaboration across the network on data matters

  • Act as a single point of contact for territories for all things data, bridging the gap between global system teams, data pillars and other global functions

  • Design, implement and manage all communications channels from GCDO to territories to ensure appropriate & coordinated comms is issued

We are looking for someone with a passion for data and data management who has strong project management and communications skills.

Specific responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly Data Leader community calls on topics of interest by engaging experts to explain problem areas and facilitating information sharing

  • Serve as Single point of contact for Territory Data Readiness to global system implementation and any specific data issues

  • Manage and coordinate communications requirements across the GCDO data pillars to territories through a monthly Newsletter for the data leaders community

  • Work with Global Data Governance Lead, data domain owners and system owners to deliver data governance improvements with the territories

  • Gather intelligence & experience to create playbooks, user guides, FAQs, Lessons Learnt maintained on a “one stop shop” page as useful collateral for territories

  • Collaborate with GCDO Pillar leads to advertise, onboard and adopt GCDO services, global data standards and quality

  • Collaborate with the system implementation teams, BOS teams, global transformation teams and others to provide seamless support to the countries

  • Lead regular, periodic, project management status meetings to apprise all stakeholders of project progress, issues, challenges, risks, and project management activities.

  • Educate the territories in data governance and managing the implementation of the firm’s Network Data Governance Framework

  • Manage and facilitate the Chief Data Office community network

  • Responsible for GCDO organisational comms channels and output including change & release management

  • Support the set up of Chief Data Offices across the Network

  • Supports drafting of governance collateral and meeting material

  • Direct the activities of a small team of Senior Associates and Managers dedicated to Territory Engagement, Change & focused roles

  • Responsible for drafting territory and service onboarding collateral.

  • Responsible for managing comms across BOS

Requirements
  • Must have relevant project management background experience and a formal qualification from a project management association e.g. APMP, PMI

  • Must have experience setting up new business services, managing successful system implementations and migrations with significant data and system integration components

  • Must have strong team management and strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated across a global, multi-cultural and lingual organisation

  • Must have strong executive presence to work with senior leaders in the PwC Network

  • Support the set up of Chief Data Offices across the Network

  • Supports drafting of governance collateral and meeting material

  • Direct the activities of a small team of Senior Associates and Managers dedicated to Territory Engagement, Change & focused roles

  • Responsible for drafting territory and service onboarding collateral.

  • Responsible for managing comms across BOS

Requirements
  • Must have relevant project management background experience and a formal qualification from a project management association e.g. APMP, PMI

  • Must have experience setting up new business services, managing successful system implementations and migrations with significant data and system integration components

  • Must have strong team management and strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated across a global, multi-cultural and lingual organisation

  • Must have strong executive presence to work with senior leaders in the PwC Network

A career in our Restructuring and Refinancing practice, within Deals Business Recovery Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our clients survive an imminent crisis or simply fix gaps in their organisation. In joining, you’ll help clients, among other things, reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash and reduce costs or refinance to find the best source of capital to support their business objectives. Whatever the solution, we help them manage road blocks until the job is done.

Our team helps businesses identify and access the right debt markets to support capital needs, allowing our clients to raise or retain financing on the most advantageous terms. As part of our team, you’ll assist with financial modelling, developing a comprehensive set of financing solutions, and managing the execution of the solution best aligned to our client.

About the team

The restructuring financial advisory team within Business Recovery Services (BRS) operates across all segments of the market. The team provides financial advice on debt raising and restructuring to a wide range of corporates and stakeholders including lenders, equity holders, credit funds, pension trustees and government bodies. Whilst based in London, the team often works on leading international projects and the role may include international travel. We're looking for a Manager to join us.

About the role

A typical assignment may include some or all of the following:

  • Review of current financial position, key drivers of value and key risks of businesses across a range of sectors and geographies in order to identify the right capital structure solution

  • Work with multiple senior stakeholders to negotiate, agree and implement solutions

  • Review (often in a short space of time) of businesses for long term viability, valuation and assessing capital structure options

  • Review and understanding of the priority of various classes of creditor

  • Managing and monitoring the cash flows of the business

  • Work alongside management to implement cost saving and working capital improvement plans

  • Working alongside other PwC teams, including specialist lines of service and sector experts Preparation of presentations and/or reports to key stakeholders (e.g. lenders, private equity sponsors, management)

Essential skills and experience
  • Sound financial analytical skills

  • Strong commercial and business acumen

  • Understanding of key restructuring principles

  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels (internal and external)

  • Desire to develop and train junior members of the team

  • Flexibility in terms of diverse industries and role

  • Flexibility in working location

  • Ability to support marketing and business development, demonstrating a proactive approach to the marketplace

  • Proven project and time management skills

  • Good excel modelling skills

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised working environment
