Programme Test Manager

Harrington Starr are currently working with a leading financial institution based in the City to help them on board a Programme Test Manager. This is a crucial hire for them and an exciting opportunity for the right individual to really take work with the Head of testing and manage a number of key programme's. In the role your current remit will be a team of Circa 45-50 with a 50/50 split onshore and off with 6 managers reporting into you.

  • Needs to have managed permanent people with strong experience of staff & team development
  • Must have a clear understanding of the clear distinction between a Test Manager and a Test Programme Manager
  • Has a detailed understanding of Derivatives and Futures markets
  • Can control release management with various teams
  • Can run the dailies and orchestrate across the groups on key deliveries
  • Defect Management on prioritisation
  • Manage test coverage and target critical path analysis
  • Must have a broad and detailed knowledge of different testing approaches in a SDLC
  • Solid experience of driving a programme of improvement
  • Strong processing and tooling experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Solid Rates and OTC Products business knowledge is essential
  • Understanding of Agile development methodology
  • Ideally worked on Murex deliveries on Murex 3.x

Account Executive - Investment Management Software 

Our Client is looking for an Account Executive to join their sales team. The goal of the AE is to help identify potential clients and communicate and align their benefit to the buyer based on their understanding of the buyer's pain points and purchasing goals, and ultimately "close" the deal. This individual will walk the customer through the entire buying process and proactively address clients’ needs to facilitate the sales process. The AE will be responsible to contribute to meaningful increases in sales and maintain our company-client relationships at the highest standard.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Help identify and target qualified prospects
  • Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey to help them learn how our clients products can improve their business
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential buyers
  • Dissect and qualify prospects’ business goals to determine how our client can meet their business needs
  • Close business with new and existing customers at or above quota level
  • Partner with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategy as the company introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products
  • Work with C-level leadership, marketing team and team leaders to discuss strategies for continued growth
  • Be proactive in identifying changing market needs

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university
  • 3-5 years of SaaS sales experience to pension funds, advisors, endowments, and the secondary market
  • Experience with 6-18 month sales cycles and 6-7 figure deal sizes with a multi-stakeholder process
  • Have thorough knowledge of the financial buy-side, specifically the institutional investor community
  • Have understanding of SaaS solutions sales cycles, including performing presentations and demos
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Strong interpersonal, consultative selling and closing skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-driven sense of motivation, hunter mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The client is looking for a SAP Basis Consultant 3 Month period in the City Centre of Birmingham.


What you will be doing


The Basis Consultant will work closely with other IT&D teams and subject matter experts and suppliers.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • To provide operational support, carry out performance tuning, diagnostic and troubleshooting for system and application issues.
  • carry out SAP upgrades, patching and database maintenance.
  • Support and provide guidance to teams in infrastructure and Data Centre on SAP best practice.
  • To ensure the SAP based systems operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment. This includes assisting with the configuration and maintenance of High Availability and Disaster Recover SAP solutions.
  • To liaise with managed services, SAP experts and business teams for BAU support and projects
  • Assist team of SAP technical consultants.
  • Assist with architecture design of the SAP systems


What you’ll need to succeed
