The Harrington Starr Data & Analytics team are looking to hire a hands-on Senior Data Scientist Team Leader who is looking for a career move. The successful candidate will be able to help shape the future of how the client manages and processes their data.

The successful Data Science Team Leader will have experience of building data products & solutions in AWS Cloud Infrastructures.

As the Senior Data Science lead (AWS, Python, Java) your responsibility will be to lead the design, build and implementation of the data solution. You will have a good knowledge of AWS (ideally having used features such as S3 and Redshift) and will have put solutions into production that have been built using either Java or Python. The platform will also be making use of big data technologies such as Hadoop and adopting Machine learning techniques so any experience using these would be useful.

The core responsibilities are as follows:

- Build descriptive and predictive models to understand and predict customer behaviour.

- Work with Data Scientists from other teams to expand the adoption of Machine Learning across the company.

The Senior Data Engineer (AWS, Python, Java) will need:

The role of the Senior Market Data Sales Executive will be based in New York and will be responsible for selling multi-asset market data for both the buy and sell sides.
 
The candidate will be responsible for business development and have revenue targets based on new business growth in the East Coast region.
 
Required Skills:
-5-7 years’ experience in a new logo Hunter position within the multi-asset market data space.
-A proven track record of selling market data feeds for both buy and sell side clientele.
-Exp. with an enterprise sales cycle (can range from 3-18 months depending on client).
-Strong organization, time management, and customer facing skills to grow the client base and drive revenues. Must hit the ground running.
-College/University degree required, MBA preferred.
 
Job Responsibilities:
-Must prospect and close new business for the market data feeds, quota targets will be 6k worth of new business per month.
-Achieve monthly, quarterly, annual revenue and KPI targets as set by management. Will be assigned accounts from inception.
-Be able to walk into a large sell side or small buy side firm, and present and sell the product as needed. Client sizes will vary heavily depending on the sale.
-Work closely with the account mgmt. team, they will be handling the retention of the accounts once closed.
-Present live or remote product demonstrations for existing and prospective partners.
