Main Duties:

  • Proposing and implementing changes to the system wide platform
  • Splitting monolithic software systems into microservice-based systems
  • Integrating new technology and improving software quality whilst maintaining flow of research
  • Designing and developing new parts e.g logging, controlling, electromechanical systems
  • Gathering and processing sensor data
  • Improving CI/CD
  • Testing, debugging and tuning robot software

Skills Needed:

  • Senior/lead experience in Python

  • Ability to communicate and motivate other employees

Nice to Have:

Your new role:

A key administration support position with the responsibility for ensuring all day to day reactive and routine planned preventative maintenance tasks are issued to the appropriate operative or sub-contractor to deliver a safe, fit for purpose and high-quality environment for the customers and employees of Central Bedfordshire Council.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Manage work load and schedule work orders to field based operatives and sub-contractors in accordance with the priorities set by the Aeromark system
  • Responsible for the effective issue of reactive and routine planned maintenance tasks to the appropriate operative or sub-contractor
  • Liaise with managing engineer and field-based operatives to ensure all works scheduled (reactive and planned maintenance) are completed within set Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Progress sub-contractor eta's
  • Communicate identified risks in a prompt and effective manner
  • Communicate directly with field-based operatives and client to ensure works are being progressed and followed up through to completion
  • Update the Verisae system on a regular basis
  • Manage work load and prioritise duties efficiently
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of a robust FM service team to ensure that a high-quality service is provided to all Central Bedfordshire Council customers and stakeholders
  • Sub-contractor support - issuing POs and monitoring work orders
  • Supplier and sub-contract invoice queries - through to resolution
  • Track and monitor compliance of operative's equipment

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of customer support operations to include a good knowledge of CAFM software
  • Experience within a Facilities Management environment / professional customer services environment
  • Understanding of FM and support services contracting and performance measurement and monitoring
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and good telephone manner
  • Excellent administration and time management skills
  • IT literate with experience of MS Office applications i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
