SF Group are currently recruiting for a Web Manager for a business based in Coventry.
To support Marketing and External Affairs' (MEA) Head of Web Development in the development of the business and subsidiary websites and in the production of a web framework and roadmap which aligns with the companies key strategic goals and brand proposition.
Requiring exceptional project management skills the role will be responsible for developing a high performing web team, working with the team to ensure the website information and functionality is accurate, up-to-date and appropriately written. In addition you will develop a process to make sure web content changes are made in an efficient and timely manner.
You will lead on the effective development of project specific microsites/web pages to maximise audience engagement with an outcome focused on improving the user journey with the development of rich content that is appropriate to audience needs and expectations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the web team in the planning and delivery of web publication projects, liaising with key stakeholders and members of the web team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
Project manage web content work, and ensure project and campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.
Write and enforce content guidelines for the company websites to maximise the appeal of content to key audiences.
Oversee the editing and amending of existing content on the companies websites, ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date and appropriately written..
Monitor the status, appropriateness, timeliness, integrity and quality of information supplied by other providers on websites hosted on the companies servers or other servers, taking remedial action or consulting the Head of Web as appropriate.
Seek out web editors outside of MEA and arrange and oversee their CMS training to allow direct publishing with your team's oversight.
Assist in providing staff with policy and processes to support online projects.
Oversee the implementation of SEO through the Web team.
Audit, review and improve web content on a continual basis, providing reports and forward plans as required.
Be a contact for emergency and crisis communications - this may require being on call and required to work at short notice over the evening(s) or weekend(s) should a critical incident emerge.
Manage and report on a devolved budget, ensuring that value for money and good Return on Investment is achieved.

ROLE

  • The role of the Software Engineer is to design, code, configure and commission control systems for client projects. An understanding of networking would be an advantage. Key duties and responsibilities include:
    • * Development of safety control systems using the highly object oriented, SIL3 certified Simatic WinCC Open Architecture.
    • * Working in a quality controlled environment (ISO9001) to the safety standard BS EN 61508
    • * Design including writing user requirements and functional specifications - this may involve pre-project consultancy assignments with time spent at client premises
    • * Detailed software design using formal methods (including the Yourdon method of structured system analysis and design)
    • * Coding of SCADA 'add-ons' and bespoke systems using C/C++
    • * Coding and configuration of control systems using PLC coding software
    • * Development of real time web application
    • * Set up and configuration of Windows and web-based systems
    • * Site commissioning and testing including writing factory and site acceptance test documents

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications & Skills:

  • * A minimum of either a degree or HND in a software based course preferably including some control systems engineering
  • * Experience with object oriented programming languages
