A leading Investment Bank have an opportunity for a Windows Desktop Support Technician Trade Floor Support paying between £222 PAYE-£290 Umbrella on a 6 Months Contract.

Key Responsibilities

Build, install, deploy, maintain and support all Windows desktop hardware and software, diagnosing and remediating faults. Debug and problem solving Windows, Outlook, Office, various Broker and market data terminals. General desktop software installation, configuration and fault diagnosis. Liaising with other IT teams to ensure efficient resolution of trading desktop incidents. Completing and updating documentation and procedures.

SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:trade

• Excellent Windows software and hardware desktop configuration skills

• Analysing, diagnosing and fixing Microsoft Windows and related PC software issue

• Configuring Exchange/Outlook clients

• Knowledge of Active Directory and account management

• Knowledge of market data systems including Reuters and Bloomberg and some broker systems

• Understanding of IP networks

Experience Required:

• Supporting desktops on a trading floor

• Previous experience working in an IT support role

• Supporting the Windows operating system and associated workstation software

• Installation and configuration of Windows desktop software

• Installing and configuring Windows workstation hardware

• Support of trading floor desktop systems, particularly Bloomberg, Reuters and broker systems

  • Maintain existing reports and data models and work to maximize the utility of data within the business
