Our clients Business Intelligence team are fundamental to the success of the organisation serving the wider business and they are responsible for helping people access the data they need in the way that they need it. Our client's environment and infrastructure is enterprise scale and we are seeking business intelligence specialists with strong technical skills and a strong background in delivering business insight via reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain and develop a resilient Data Warehouse underpinning a variety of analytical requirements
  • Develop new integrations using the ETL tool to take new data sources into the Data Warehouse
  • Provide ETL and Data Warehouse best practice and guidance across the team
  • Monitor the performance of existing ETL processes and troubleshoot performance issues as they arise
  • Assist the business in data reconciliation exercises between the data warehouse and source systems
  • Help manage and administer the Looker BI Platform
  • Support users across the business in the use of the Looker reporting tool
  • Become a key part of our client's data future in cloud data tools and solutions
  • Support the evolution of Business Intelligence across the wider business

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a Business Intelligence development / analyst role, developing ETLs and data modelling
  • Experience of using SQL (T-SQL ideally)
  • Working within a Data Warehouse environment using ETL tools and direct SQL coding
  • Using Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Looker (open minded on this)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop software program modules to a new software product design specification that is to work within an enterprise software framework.
  • You will be a part of the product development team and participate in the development of new products.
  • You will play an important role in the design of new instrument software platform for the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Design and develop software programs, products and tools required for the operation and control of programmable products, working largely within OpenLab frameworks.
  • You are expected to document research and design specifications.
  • Facilitate transition of product design and enhancement to full production/delivery.
