An electronics business in Woking require an Embedded Software Engineer with Linux experience to join them for a 6-month contract.

You will be working on an information system development for one of europe's leading coach vehicle companies.

The company has developed a BETA version of the embedded system which has gone successfully. The end client has now asked for various enhancements and additional features to the current version, which means there is a lot of project task work to do.

You will be joining a multi-disciplined R&D team (consisting of Software and Electronics Engineers) to help deliver the project on time.

In this role you will be developing new code, with a lot of the work being Embedded C on Linux using the ARM Cortex micro.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • This is an outside of IR35 contract
  • There is flexible working on offer. You can work your hours in 4 days

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Embedded C
  2. Linux
  3. Communication protocol experience (CAN bus and WiFi is desirable)
  4. Microcontroller / Microprocessor experience (ARM Cortex is desirable)

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

For this role you should be a strong Embedded C programmer who is confident programming on Linux (at device driver, middleware and application level ideally). You will be working part of a small Embedded Software team.
