We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our growing consultancy team within our Government sector. We are a successful, growing team with the freedom to set our own direction and a determination to build sustainable business by putting our clients’ success first.

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for identifying and developing consulting opportunities for individuals and new projects for SSCL. You will also be responsible for taking ownership of l specific work-streams (and their outcomes) as part of a consulting team or for the overall management of small projects and their deliverables. You will also identify and develop consulting opportunities and new projects.

You will be an practitioner in one or more of the following business transformation competencies: Business Process Reengineering or Continual Improvement (EG: LEAN, Six Sigma); Operating Model Design; Business and Technical Requirements Capture & Assessment; Programme and Change Management.

Key responsibilities

  • ?Bring sector knowledge and understanding of the key business transformation issues to help SSCL’s clients meet their key challenges and opportunities.
  • Manage the successful delivery of a work-stream or small consulting project in order to achieve revenue targets and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Combine fresh thinking and insight to identify additional consulting opportunities and shape innovative business propositions for new and existing clients.
  • Work with clients to capture and shape consulting opportunities, helping them re-imagine the future and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Run and support bid opportunities for small-scale projects that demonstrate Sopra Steria’s distinctive and sustainable consulting business and secure additional revenue and/or new clients.
  • Be an advocate of SSCL Consulting through participation in industry forums, events and social media.
  • Live the consulting-led culture by embracing innovative, highly disruptive technologies that support new ways of working in a digital world.
  • Contribute to the wider Consulting Community through sharing personal knowledge and experience.

Essential skills

  • ?Client facing consulting experience in a recognised consulting business.
  • Previous experience working with the Government/Police Sector
  • Delivering value to businesses through business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience of describing and positioning propositions that embrace all domains of the client’s operating model including a business processes, organisational change
  • and information technology.
  • Experience of delivering business transformation work streams and small projects.
  • Change management skills including analysing capacity, process mapping, cost modelling and benefits appraisal.
  • Good data gathering and analytical skills.
  • Degree level education or equivalent, typically in Business, Information Technology or Engineering.
    An innovative and fresh thinker.
