Our client, an established IT support company in Tamworth, is looking for a Senior Systems Specialist to join their office based in Tamworth. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services you will assist in leading and driving the companies project function, catering for R&D of new products/services, through to the effective delivery of audits, site surveys, designs, implementation/installations and documentation for new or existing customers infrastructures. You will take ownership and responsibility for escalations from Systems Specialists and Helpdesk team members to work within the companies SLA’s.

Duties

  • Working as part of a team focused on specialist areas that include Systems or Networking or Applications.
  • 60% /40% split in terms of your time. 60% of your time will be focused on project designs and installations. 40% of your time will be spent focused on BAU and escalations; guiding Systems Specialists, Associate Systems Specialists, Lead Helpdesk Analyst and Senior Helpdesk Analyst team members, enhancing your own technical and consulting skills through further training and exposure to projects, completing site audits, attending presales meetings and contributing to tender documentation

The Role

The IT Security Specialist performs monitoring of IT service usage, compliance with IT Security policies, offers specialist support and guidance to the development cells and carries out technical assessments of the IT environment.

The role also requires travel to the various Vaultex sites, to liaise with user departments both in the admin offices and the centres.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Perform proactive monitoring of IT services.
  • Measure compliance with IT security policies and maintain industry leading security standards across the whole IT estate.
  • Perform security assessments including vulnerability scans and application testing
  • Liaise with business functions and stakeholders with an emphasis on clear communication both internally and externally.
  • Support the ongoing Security Awareness Programme.
  • Act as a central contact point for IT Security audit related activity

A leading big data software solution provider is looking to add a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to their scrum team. We’re looking for someone who is happy designing, implementing, testing and documenting new modules for their product, alongside optimising and enhancing existing modules.

The role of Senior Java Software Engineer is based in their product team, designing and implementing frameworks and APIs that power their core product. The core frameworks are responsible for the heavy lifting required to produce this view, so you should be used to shipping Docker containers using a CI system.
