Business Analyst (Product SME) - £50k - Perm - Peterborough

An opportunity for a Business analyst has arisen. You will be part of the change and transformation team, responsible for the analysis of key product specifications and product consolidation. Using the information available the successful candidate would be required to populate the database (Product Repository) with as much information as given in the product spec but also being able to make assumptions and stating the reasoning behind these assumptions. This is project based work, requiring the candidate to liaise with clients by phone and/or email.

As a Product Analyst/SME the candidate would also be required to be a point of referral for other team members. Queries are likely to arise regarding information missing in product specs so the candidate would be needed to make confident assumptions on the most likely answer using their knowledge of pension / life products.

Genral responsibilities:

*To find links between different product types / codes
*To analyse product specs and use product knowledge to make assumptions

*Analyse and assess report outputs

You will join the global Cyber Security function Protecting the Technology Environment from internal and external security threats, Application Security (through secure coding practices, penetration testing, and developer training) Centralised Access Management - working to principles of least privilege, access appropriate to role, and Role Based Access Control Infrastructure Security Security Engineering and Architecture Security Application Support Cyber Defence Operations (CDO) Information Security Risk Management Technology Risk and Audit Management/Technology Service Continuity.

The technologies include, but are not limited to, Advanced malware detection, DDoS, IPS, anti-spam, threat intelligence and logging/analytics capabilities. You will ideally have experience of not only using a wide range of technologies to respond to security events, but also supporting ongoing maintenance of the tools.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a background working in a similar environment with a strong track record using tools and technology to identify, mitigate, prevent and treat risks to a broad range of environments.

You will be using security tools to Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across a wide variety of all source data sets (e.g., indications and warnings) Use provided tools to perform continual monitoring and analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity and configure mitigations.

You will triage events including malicious activity and incidents of concern analysing identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, and effects on system and information. Confident and capable receiving and analysing network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts.

You will also be reporting, monitoring & supporting looking to identify potential conflicts with implementation of any tools within CDO area of responsibility (e.g., tool/signature testing and optimization) providing summary reports of network events and activity relevant to the operations.
