Cyber Incident Response consultant (DFIR / PFI) client facing

Client Facing Cyber Incident Response consultant (DFIR / PFI) needed to join a global consultancy who is recognised as a industry leader in helping its clients through complex breach situations.

PFI (PCI forensic investigations) experience is strongly desirable and will be given a priority. This role must require a blend of technical hands-on and softer client-facing consultancy.

This opportunity will give the Client Facing Cyber Incident Response consultant varied, high profile, interesting and often complex client incidents projects.

Unlike many incident response roles in the market, given the complexity of the projects the Cyber Incident Response consultant must to be able to travel, this will include international travel. If you are looking for a home based remote role, this is not the opportunity for you.

It is essential that the Cyber Incident Response Consultant is able to identify, scope, manage, remediate/eradicate the threat for the clients.

In-depth technical experience is a must; specific experience working with clients in the 'eye of the storm’ of an incident is essential. APT, active threat hunting, IR triage/planning experience is critical. Just as important is the ability to coordinate the response across multiple client stakeholders, team members and other team members; such as Legal, PR, marketing.

Key attributes should also include; stakeholder engagement, mentoring of team members and a collaborative working style.

  • Collaboration with technical leads, project managers, senior management and stakeholders, ensuring that all project activities are effectively recorded and tracked.
  • Responsible for design testing and development and implementation of new network environments
  • Record all related information ensuing accuracy of data at all times.
  • Track activities against all milestones and deliverables in relation to the network element of the infrastructure programme of works, ensuring effective personal leadership and delivery focus for all projects.
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed.
  • Organise and direct cross-functional teams in developing and implementing the agreed project deliverables; also provides task direction to project members and respective 3rd parties
  • Work with support organizations and client personnel to ensure their involvement in tasks required to deliver the project (e.g. Requirements Gathering, Technical Support, Organizational Readiness, Help Desk activities, UAT, etc.)
  • Manages escalations to executive levels as required, maintains the project business case, prepares and presents readiness assessments

Relevant Previous Work Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of working within technical environments specifically networking (LAN & WAN technologies).
  • Demonstrable experience of working within an international team and a multinational company
  • Demonstrable experience of working within complex projects collating multiple sources of information

  • Strong familiarity with project management software such as Open Workbench or MS Project.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to enable effective communication with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressured, fast-changing landscape is essential.
