The role

Your Responsibilities

As a member of an established team and reporting directly to the Director of Technology, you will work across our IT, Professional Services, Academic and Research departments to define data and information management strategies, road-maps and enterprise solutions that will improve data management, quality, reporting and analytics capability in their respective business areas.

Core Skills

  • Ideally experience in developing Enterprise level Data solutions and architecture within a large complex technology and user environment

  • Exposure to Hybrid and Cloud Data Platforms (Azure) and understanding of data access and analytical approaches
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to communicate and influence a broad range of IT and Non IT stakeholders
  • An awareness of current and emerging technologies and services

Communication

  • You will be self-motivated, adaptive and able to engage, challenge and influence others
  • A track record of developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships across IT and the wider institution
  • An ability to explain technical issues to non-specialists, and to write clear technical reports and other formal documentation for solution deployments and evaluations is essential

This role is available on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Overall purpose of role

·Manage the pay agenda for senior executives within the business area.

·Work in partnership with the Head of Compensation Delivery to ensure compensation processes meet the needs of the business area.

·Work in partnership with the Head of Compensation Analytics to define analytical requirements for the business unit.

Key Accountabilities

Know Your Client (KYC) - Review Support Team Leader

We’re looking for a strong leader to fill the role of Know our Client (KNC) - Review Support Team Leader. As well as managing and developing Review Centre Support Assistants on their caseloads, you will act as SME who drives continuous improvements and Change. Your role will be pivotal in enabling business quality management assurance to Business Banking Standards as well as informing your stakeholders on case progress, process exceptions, regulatory breaches and client satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

• Providing exceptional leadership to a team of KYC Review Central Support Assistants by supporting and challenging them to ensure they complete a challenging caseload
• Developing, managing and implementing locally or nationally driven change; planning and scheduling activity and coaching the team to spot improvement opportunities
• Meeting our regulatory and policy obligations surrounding KYC through full compliance with Risk policies relating to governance, regulatory compliance and legal risk
• You will undertake key sample controls, checks and innovating to improve processes and efficiency 
• Demonstrating extensive subject matter expert knowledge around KYC and KYC risk acceptance procedures and act as a primary point of contact for queries and support 
• Supporting and delivering exceptional business performance across a range of operational and rigour metrics ensuring our business retains its ‘License to Trade’
• Creating a high performance ‘go-to’ environment demonstrating flexibility and consistency for colleagues to progress and enhance their careers with Barclays
• You will coordinate and manage succession planning, recruitment and selection of staff within the team

What we’re looking for:

• Previous leadership experience and an ability to build and maintain a high performing team delivering results via empowering and motivating others
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills for both internal and external networks

• Analysis and interpretation of data, the fundamentals of how businesses operate, people management / situational leadership

Job Title: Senior Automation Tester
Location: Glasgow


Barclays are hiring a talented driven individual within Risk, Finance and Treasury for a Senior Automation Tester working hands on with Java.

You will work on high profile projects and develop your skill sets working with the latest technologies.

What will you be doing?

This role is to lead a small team of test analysts and be responsible for their end to end testing work relating to the implementation of the new application
Owning the test plan and allocating scripts appropriately across the team
Scheduling review sessions between UAT, Development and testing teams
Responsible for planning and owning the Unit, SIT and Regression testing cycles throughout the delivery schedule
Ensures systematic problem solving, where options are evaluated and decisions align with the values
Adapts to changing requirements, re-prioritising and changing course as necessary, supporting their team in making any necessary changes
Ensures the team’s decisions are made with consideration of the short and long-term impact on key stakeholders.
Communication to key stakeholders/groups to keep them informed of key changes and potential impact of the release outcome, through face to face demos and key stakeholder meetings 


What we’re looking for:

Test Execution E2E
Hands on Java experience
Automation experience E.g. Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber
Testing Skills including Test Automation skills
Ability to effectively test Enterprise web application including associated batch processes


Skills that will help you in the role:

Past experience with custom build applications
Experience and/or knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) delivery methodology
Experience of the Barclays Agile Change Lifecycle (BACL) delivery methodology;
Knowledge of Barclays and its internal structures.
