We are currently seeking a Data & Analytics Architect to join our Cognizant Consulting business in London.

The successful candidate will work on our client site and will sit within the Product Group. The role will be responsible for the overall architecture, including service, for a product group (product road map) and quality assurance of architectural decisions, technical designs to ensure alignment to enterprise platform and integration strategies, standards and patterns.

Key responsibilities will involve:

  • Shaping the relevant Data Architecture road maps which identifies the scope, prioritization and time frames for delivery of capability as well as addressing technical debt

  • Producing architectural solutions including technology and service ensuring solutions consider capacity management, ITSCM, security and software licensing requirements, high level outlined architecture to detailed architecture, and where required, high level technical designs that are aligned to enterprise architecture standards, cover any required product group integration and all relevant architecture domains align with enterprise product strategies to meet agreed acceptance/definition of ready criteria

  • Review and quality assure artefacts ensuring the quality of the delivered solution to fulfil business and non-functional requirements and adhere to strategic vision for the product group

  • Identifying opportunities for product innovation and shape design proposals for taking this forward; driving innovation at a product level where this delivers quick wins and business benefit and is in the boundary of the product roadmap

  • Supporting Integration and functional testing to ensure conformance to business acceptance and readiness criteria, identifying and responding to capacity, licensing and security risks.

Experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a solution design role in the Data & Analytics domain

  • Experience in developing solutions in using Cloudera/Horton Works/AWS EMR related products/services

  • Experience in designing complex and large scale ETL pipelines on AWS using EBS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, EMR Spark, Glue and EC2/ECS. They must also be conversant with Automation tools such as Terraform, Cloud formation and Chef/Puppet

  • Experience of data and analytical solution designs, such as related to Data Warehousing, Data Lake and must be conversant with Datamodelling tools and techniques

  • Experience of working across varied technology domains such as Business Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Integration and Security

  • An interest in emerging technologies and innovation

  • Prior background in software development (desirable)

  • Ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill - both oral and written

  • A strong teamwork ethic with a proven ability to work collaboratively

  • Highly developed critical thinking, interpretative and analytical skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and work with cross-functional teams to deliver IT M&A engagements across all phases of the M&A life cycle include due-diligence, pre-close, Integration and post-merger integration handover process.

  • As part of IT Due diligence scope, lead and assess the Information Technology (IT) related opportunities and risks, develop an action plan to address, and communicate due diligence results in easy to understand format.

  • Diligence findings discussions with internal stakeholders, BU & Corporate Developments teams. Cost estimations and Integration approach & plans for IT Infrastructure Integrations & Standardizations

  • Work with Cognizant Corporate Development to identify the RAID items (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) in the M&A IT infrastructure integration.

  • Manage various IT integration workshops for newly acquired companies. Formulate strategies by collaborating with multiple technology SME and business stakeholders.

  • Propose overall IT infra integration strategy for network, email, voice and endpoint & contract integrations along with timelines during the workshop and seeking approval/sign-off from functional stakeholders like Business, Corporate Development, Corporate Security and IT leadership team

  • Promoting consistent, repeatable processes that reduce integration project setup time and assist with resource and capacity planning.

  • Collaborate with acquired entity IT associates to extend Cognizant IT infra standards in the acquired infrastructure. Act as bond for acquired IT team to collaborate with Cognizant extended IT team and ensure we have fair understanding of Cognizant IT processes, tools and team structure.

  • Participate in recurring status update calls with corporate development and internal leadership; present the weekly status on the M&A integrations.

  • Identify the communication needs, Change requests and the key milestones involved in user communication and work with OCM team and business team to create the communication templates and technical steps involved with the integration activities.

  • Identify procurement needs and understand vendor contracts, risks involved in contract integration and work with procurement and vendor management office to integrate.

  • BS degree (or equivalent, based upon education and experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, life sciences, analytical sciences or related field, and extensive years of work experience in SAS programming, preferably in a clinical environment.

  • Masters-level degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, life sciences, analytical sciences or related field with a some years of work experience in SAS programming, preferably in a clinical environment.

  • Knowledge of database set-up and report publishing requirements.

  • Advanced knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements related to the role.

  • Knowledge of CDSIC standard (eg, CDASH, SDTM, ADaM) and industry best practices.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of clinical drug development or healthcare.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Provides statistical expertise for complex design and interpretation of clinical programmes, regulatory submissions and commercialisation

  • Analyses internal and external information to inform design decisions and the development of decision criteria

  • Develop a Statistical Analysis plan for complex studies and/or project deliveries

  • Acts as a coach/guide for less experienced statisticians in the production of analysis, supporting graphics and analysis tables for CSRs, GMA studies or publications

  • Provides support to the complex study analysis, regulatory submissions including specification of overview documents and response to regulatory questions

  • Able to interpret, summarise and communicate results of complex studies

  • Contribute to the regulatory submissions including specification of overview documents and response to regulatory questions

  • Identifies opportunities for the application of modelling and simulation to improve study design

  • Identifies opportunities to improve the methodology and provide practical solutions for problems

  • Identifies and applies statistical methodology to improve the process and delivery activities
