They are looking to develop their digital strategy and require a Creative Web Designer with strong Front-End ability to design contemporary & engaging digital platforms to join the team. The role will suit a Junior to Mid-Level creative designer looking to advance their skills, capability and career.

The Role:
The role will require you to be both visually creative but also have a logical mind for development. You'll work as part of a small self-organised team with varying skillsets, creating and maintaining bespoke tools, programs, platforms and services. They're ideally looking for someone who has a really strong development skill-set, who also has a creative eye for design and the ability to work on the design stages where needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and planning technical solutions to meet business requirements
  • Translate PSD and graphic content into pixel perfect and beautiful front-end applications.
  • Designing and coding a range of creative including: mailers, banners, websites, landing pages
  • Coding and developing features for new and existing products.
  • Upkeep and maintenance of existing products.

It is therefore important that you are comfortable working independently.

You will be working from your own private office within our recently refurbished offices in Washington, Tyne and Wear. Working hours can be flexible to suit you to cover 37.5 hours between Mon-Fri 8am-6pm.

You will also be responsible for the training provision for new starters across both directly employed staff and Field Teams on WoodPlan to ensure compliant usage and data accuracy.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manage all task workflow through Ground Control’s 'Sysaid’ tool, delivering high quality customer service.
  • Hardware Asset Management.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to business stakeholders.
  • Develop scripts, processes and procedures to help ensure data integrity, ensuring all changes to the database is completed with minimum disruption.
  • Maintain the Arb Utility Alfresco site, uploading scripts, documents, and guides to facilitate a wide knowledgebase for utilisation of the wider Operations Support team.
  • Support BD department in new Arb Utility Tender applications, to aid Managers in the development, mobilisation and roll-out of new Client data.

Desired skills and experience

This role would be ideal for an existing Operations Analysts or Performance Analyst with previous experience of working in a 'First Line' role 'technician / specialist' role. Experience within the Electricity Supply Network industry is desirable but not essential. You 'll need to be business process minded / orientated with a view to constantly look for efficiency and productivity improvements as well as having experience of working closely with Business Unit Directors to ensure all Operations and Operations Support teams are working seamlessly. You’ll have a positive attitude working within tight timelines / SLA and critical work streams with operational dependencies with outstanding communication skills

In addition you will need to demonstrate competency in the following areas:

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience of large data set manipulation
  • Formula building to test logic and obtain subsets
  • Visual Basic Application (VBA) to create tools for reporting and process analysis / efficiency
  • Development and maintenance of reporting dashboards / tools
  • Experience in using SQL databases
  • Have previously created queries / stored procedures for data evaluation / integrity / reporting
