Backend Engineer - A company in Berlin who are part of the Digital transformation of the transport industry are looking for a Backend Engineer to join as they onboard new projects this financial year. These projects involve building microservices from scratch using Java, Kotlin, and Golang on the Backend. The role will also expose you to Frontend work using React and Redux. The Role

This role is working for the client and network owner and as a Telecoms Testing Manager (Wireless/Fibre), your role has accountability to develop, guide and manage the effective analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test strategies for the deployment programme.

You are also accountable to ensure proper configuration management of the test systems and traceability tests to meet regulatory standards and following best in class operating principles.

Primary Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Define and develop the approach to Test Strategies and incorporate into a customer led plans ensuring that the outputs are measured against clear specifications.
  • Execute test plans to meet London Underground and Mobile Network Operator applicable standards to ensure the programme is delivered in a safe and environmentally responsible manner against time, cost and quality.
  • Provide management advice and best practice in respect of all telecoms testing activities
  • Work effectively with key vendors to establish Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Establish a clear approach and management of a suitable testing database
  • Management of test assets (equipment, test rigs)
  • Check / Review the Test Cases documents.


The Candidates we want

  • A comprehensive understanding of Mobile Network Operators or Telecoms vendors is required
  • Proven experience of managing a testing programme, approach, delivery and outputs to demonstrate our due diligence and commitment to deliver to the required standards
