IT Strategy/IT Advisory Consultant
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a 'Big 4' management consultancy firm within their Deal and Strategy Advisory team that focuses on technology advisory and technology in M&A. This team are responsible for advising on the strategic and commercial viewpoints of any prospective deal - all in relation to a client's IT function. As such, this role offers a great chance to move from an IT Advisory background into a more fast-paced, deal-oriented environment.
Given the demands of this position - candidates aren't required to have any deal or M&A experience previously, rather a CIO Advisory, digital strategy background is preferred. You will be given market-leading training, the opportunity to work with some of the UK's largest businesses and exposure to senior stakeholders as high as MD/CxO.
As an IT Advisory Consultant, your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a high performing team to advise on the commerciality of prospective deals.
- Advising clients on how to best integrate two IT functions.
- Working with different FTSE 100/250 clients on short to medium term projects (2-9 months).
- Engaging in a continuous process of up skilling from highly experienced, senior colleagues.
The perfect consultant will have the following qualities:
- Honours degree from reputable University.
- Experience working in IT strategy, digital strategy, CIO advisory type projects
- Experience in consulting preferable but not essential.
- Strong numerical ability.
- A wider knowledge of/interest in M&A.
