Job Purpose:

  • As the IT Systems Support and Development Analyst you will be supporting and developing our Service Management Tool (ivanti).
  • The Service Management tool underpins the Service Management and Service Delivery capabilities to enable the initiatives and business of the broader County Council and its Partners.
  • Main Responsibilities: 
  • Troubleshoot service desk tool issues effectively, including detailed investigation and analysis.
  • Fault diagnosis and resolution on incidents and problems.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to analyse and resolve issues and develop product.
  • Escalate application incident issues accordingly to ensure priority items that cause service disruption are investigated, communicated and resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Escalate to IT Systems Infrastructure Team for any issues that are either not diagnosable or not resolvable by support team.
  • Document faults and recommending improvements.
  • Update and creating fields within the object tables.
  • Provide input into the technical design to ensure production of processes that deliver the needs of the business.
  • Deliver technical requirements to develop the tool – analysis, design, estimating, development, testing and implementation.
  • Support the wider technology team with projects, providing subject matter expert knowledge, ensuring smooth handover to business as usual operations and supporting business adoption.
  •  Look for opportunities to improve the service management tool, process improvements and automation.
  • Develop management information reports and assisting with the integration of back office systems.
  • Provide guidance and input into roadmap of the service management tool.
  • Maintain the Service Management system to the levels set out in the IT Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Skills

A CCNP Routing & Switching and/or CCNP Security experience is strongly recommended.

Any experience with F5, Fortigate, Infoblox or Riverbed Cascade will be a big bonus.
Again, all of this is hands off as it is provided by multiple 3rd parties so experience of managing/working with multiple vendors on a project is essential.
