Job Purpose Overview

The role of the Managed Service Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day management of the engineering team.

to lead, guide and inspire a team. This is deemed as a hands-on role and you are expected to be comfortable getting involved in analysis, diagnosis and resolution of client problems. Identified issues may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues. There will also be a responsibility to people management which will include performance, training and development.

Responsibilities

* To lead, under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager, the Team Leader will ensure
that the day to day activities are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle and that all
SLA's are met or exceeded.
* Produce regular reports for customers on KPI's and SLA's, to ensure any issues and trends are
identified.
* To analyse the customer satisfaction survey results and ensure that all negative feedback is
dealt with in a timely manner.

Contribute to the on-going development of the managed service with a view to implement
continuing service improvement by sharing knowledge, experience and expertise with the
team.
* Identify all out of scope and new business opportunities through additional project work or
expansion of services delivered.
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders/decision makers regarding post sales requirements,
delivery, and will have input into on-going service reviews.
* Provide an escalation path for problem, support, management, resolution and communication
when appropriate.
* Work with the internal support functions to ensure all aspects of the team BIU (business as
usual) operations can be maintained to meet the customers' requirements.

Management

* Manage a team of remote engineers and ensure efficient day to day operational performance.
* Responsible for coaching, developing and motivating team members.
* Carry out regular conference calls, face to face meetings, one-to-one performance reviews to
assist the completion of bi-annual and annual PDR's (Performance Development Reviews).
* Ensure that internal and external SLA's are met by the team.
* Provide regular statistics and updates to the Service Delivery Manager.
* Provide advice and support to the team when necessary, identifying development and
training needs based on individual performance and taking ownership and delivery of
appropriate training needs for both internal and external requirements.
* Devise, advise and implement robust processes to encompass all managed service
requirements for the team.
* Pro-actively identify and escalate any issues in relationship to workload/capacity to the
Service Delivery Manager.
* Monitor performance of the team, using key measures, service results/customer feedback to
identify and address areas of underperformance.

Must have a knowledge of IT Jargon with an interest in technologies and computers
Minimum 2/3 years managing experience is essential.
Self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service.
