Your new role
In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of software projects, the development of multiple internal information systems and the continuous monitoring of new technologies. You will also be expected to liaise with 3rd party suppliers and the quality assurance team when appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 1 year's commercial software development experience

  • Working knowledge of Javascript (preferably node.js)

I am currently looking for a Mid/Snr ASP.NET Developer, working for an agency with 20 years’ worth of expertise in transforming digital experiences for clients. They're currently expanding their development team by multiple developers, due to growth and new and upcoming projects.

As a Developer, you will be hands on utilising ASP.NET MVC. If you have exposure to CMS that will be very beneficial.

This role is located near Bournemouth station, so will be a great commute if you travel by train.

The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • ASP .NET MVC
  • Webservices (i.e. WCF, SOAP, RESTful or WebAPI)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ commercial experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirables / A chance to learn:

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with your team to prepare designs, estimates and functional specifications
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, robust and reliable code
  • Maintain accurate and quality documentation
  • Deliver high quality functional software within agreed timescales
  • Help maintain code quality, structure, and automation where possible
  • Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Take ownership of your own tasks, delivering within the agreed timeline, escalating where necessary

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • Work collaboratively with your team members and peers to ensure that we are working together.
  • Continually work towards the company and departmental objectives, contributing to overall company initiatives and product roadmap
  • Awareness and understanding of the software development life cycle
