My client is looking for an all-round IT professional to come on board as their IT Manager. This is to lead a small IT team (2-3 people), delivering the IT needs to a small, successful, business (up to 60 people). The company needs a strong IT person who can be the first port of call for all IT issues - Servers, infrastructure, systems, support etc. Your daily tasks will vary, from 1st/2nd line support, management and maintenance of the virtualisation estate, infrastructure administration and project management of in-house IT projects. 

Key experience the IT Manager will hold includes:

We are currently recruiting for an Information Security Specialist to join our IT Security team. Reporting directly to the Information Security Manager, you will be a key part of the team responsible for protecting the assets for the whole of The Nottingham.

This is a dynamic role in which no two days are the same; it strikes the right balance between process and supporting the wider team with a variety of projects. You will have the opportunity to mould policies and procedures and will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and flexibility within your role to achieve this. In a nutshell you will be influential in the inclusion of new technology to safeguard The Nottingham.

The role -

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with the I.T. Security policies, standards and procedures based around ISO 27001

  • Manage, maintain and configure the Societies security infrastructure

  • Manage and maintain the security related configurations of servers and firewalls, and management of periodic assessments

  • Apply controls to ensure that appropriate information and system / application access privileges and security clearances are maintained

  • Provide effective and timely response to security incidents and security requests raised by users throughout the Society.
  • Work with stake holders at all level to provide expert security advice to the business.
  • Keep abreast of developments in best practice which could benefit the Society, identify training needs for the organisation

Your skills -

  • An good understanding of IT Security practice

  • Experience of working in an IT security environment

  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 27001/2

  • Ability to write documentation clearly and concisely and to pass on the relevant technical information to both technical and non-technical staff

  • A confident communicator with the ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels
