We are looking for a Data Analytics expert, ideally with Tableau skills and possibly some knowledge of Retail or Logistics to join a reputed software client based near Slough, Berkshire.

The R&D team are responsible for creating and delivering software through on-premise, cloud hosted and multi-tenanted SaaS platforms to leading global retailers and partners. What you will be doing:

You will be ensuring that data analysis software features are cohesive across all our software in their use of technology, technical design, integration and operation. The role is centred on data modelling, data structure and deriving valuable intelligence using data analytics and visualisations developed on our Tableau platform. You will be expected to deliver solutions to quality, time and budget measures, working in collaboration with Infrastructure, Delivery and Support teams in order to ensure that software is successfully deployed, integrated, upgraded and maintained through its lifecycle.

What you will need to be successful:

A passion for working with data and a mindset that is one of experimentation and creativity in your approach to software development

Practical understanding of software used for building out cloud hosted enterprise data analytics features (predominantly Tableau and Microsoft Azure)

Demonstrable understanding of theory and practices for architecting and developing analytical based enterprise software features

Insight into what the user didn’t know they needed and how they can effectively consume data driven information

Strong knowledge of Agile practices and principles with the ability to apply these in order to successfully deliver software using distributed teams, manage user story creation and to plan sprints and releases

Make and justify technical decisions based on sound and thorough research and documentation, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate this at both a business and technical level

This Role is for a Senior Data Scientist to work alongside our Senior Management Team and ensure Data Science is fully utilised within the company.

Additional responsibilities will include:

- Using machine learning to identify patterns and trends

Global Insurance/Reinsurance company seeks a Software Tester to take on a Lead Tester / Senior Tester / Test Coordinator role working with team in multiple geographies to coordinate testing activities relating to enhancements to their global SAP operation.

Working on both Functional (majority) and non-functional testing the Software Tester / Lead Tester will work closely with developers (both SAP and ancillary systems / web developers) to test enhancements from a variety of perspectives including Unit, Integration, Regression and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through to (non-functional aspects) such as Load/Performance and Security Testing.

You will conduct both manual and automated tests using a range of tools including MicroFocus's UFT/QTP and Load Runner taking both an approach aligned to SDLC and a broader view applicable to ALM (Application Lifecycle Management). This work will be undertaken across multiple geographies dependent upon the specific SAP enhancements to modules utilised in various global regions as well as associated systems. As such we require someone who is capable of managing testing activities and coordinating both functional and non-functional testing in this fashion. This will be achieved through the full test cycle from specification and creation of both manual and automated test cases, completion of testing cycles and management of defects through to resolution via close liaison with the development team(s).

We are searching for a candidate who has a broad range of experience in software testing encompassing the full life cycle from writing test cases through to defect management in both functional and some aspects of non-functional testing. You may have come from a development background but this is not essential providing that you can work with developers and complete unit tests and integration work. You will however hold an appreciation for both the SDLC and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) and be able to communicate effectively with Agile development teams and business stakeholders alike.

You will be well organised and capable of, and eager to coordinate, testing activities of multiple testers and testing teams based in international locations. Ideally, you will have experience of testing enhancements to SAP / SAP Basis but there is some flexibility here based on a wider software testing skillset. Experience with a broad range of tools will be required (to drive efforts forward) but proficiency in UFT/QTP and Load Runner will be expected. Insurance / Financial services experience would be highly beneficial but non-essential. Strong communication skills pre-requisite.
