They are looking for Data Scientist to join and work alongside the Data Engineer so any Engineering experience would be great! THE ROLE

As a Data Scientist for the business you will:

• To begin with it will be very customer focused so you will analyse customer behaviour, customer acquisition and campaign performance
• You will use Machine Learning techniques to generate insights using regression and segmentation techniques more specifically
• You will work towards using more AI focused and more advanced ML techniques as the Dat Science function grows
• You will work closely with the Data Engineer and ideally get involved in some of the Data Engineering responsibilities whilst the team grows

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong academic background in a relevant field
• An excellent understanding of customer analytics, segmentation, modelling and Machine Learning
• Data Engineering experience would be a benefit
• Tech: Python, SQL

SALARY AND BENEFITS

We are currently working in an exclusive partnership with one of our tier 1 clients based in the heart of the Midlands.  We are looking for an experienced Head of IT / IT Manager to join our client at and exciting time of growth and expansion.

Role Purpose

To develop and deliver the technology strategy as well as the management and continuous improvement of the technology systems and processes.  To play an active role in shaping the strategic direction of the business technology initiatives through contributing professionally to a variety of initiatives, new developments and projects. Working in close alignment with the parent company, learning and taking the lead from them. Managing the UK IT team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all UK IT operations including service delivery, infrastructure and IT project management.
• Act as the focal point for all technology and drive innovation and change to deliver new solutions and efficiency.
• Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Manage our key IT third party suppliers and keep abreast of new technological developments, as well as the advantages and value that can be added to our systems.
• Deliver an innovative, high performing, IT support service across the organisation and ensure that we work in-line with industry best practice such as ITIL, for all our approved devices.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organisational policy
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to secure and backup all systems and data; to develop and implement any plans, systems and measures necessary to support business continuity and to ensure that our disaster recovery strategy is up-to-date and deliverable.

Essential Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an IT Manager/Head of IT in a fast paced, commercially focused business
• Experience in delivering major projects (£0.5m+) on time and budget
• Experience of leading multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
• Expertise in data centre management and data governance
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
