The Active Directory Manager has responsibility for all aspects of design, configuration and management of the Active Creation, Governance and management of the forest, directory infrastructure and Schema.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and Implement Active Directory upgrade;
  • Overall security implementation and reliability of the forest;
  • Creation and removal of domains and top level Organisation Unit (OU) hierarchies;
  • Governance, creation, troubleshooting & management of Group Policy Objects (GP), and managing GP links within their OU hierarchy;
  • Ensure overall security and integrity of the OU hierarchy;
  • Monitoring changes to OU hierarchy to ensure unauthorised changes do not occur;
  • Design, Governance and Implementation of the delegation of authority to others for appropriate object administration in the OU hierarchy;
  • Creation/deletion/management of objects, i.e. local user accounts, groups, workstations, servers, printers, etc. in the OU hierarchy;
