QA Engineer required for my client based near Slough / Maidenhead for a permanent role. Salary dependent on experience.

You will need to drive for this role.

You will be working alongside the Development team testing software releases and updates. Therefore you must have impeccable interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with multiple departments. You MUST have excellent communication skills.

You will play a key role in testing, integrating and releasing products and monitoring product quality.

Responsibilities

- Verify and validate software products

- Define test plans: defining the test approach for any new functionality, define integration tests across products and components, etc.

- Execute exploratory tests of new functionality, report on testability

- Develop, execute and maintain automated (regression) testing scripts;

- Define, build and maintain the test environment and tools, across Support, QA & Development teams, and ensure they are in line

- Create summary reports on test results regularly

Experience Required

- Programming languages, preferably Java

- Databases, the SQL language

- OS scripting (Windows CMD, Unix Shell)

- Installing and configuring operating systems (Windows Server and Linux)

- Automated testing tools, like Selenium
