Project Manager - Inscope of IR35

Duration: 6 months
Location: Preston
Rate: £350 per day (Umbrella inside of IR35)

Are you a Project Manager seeking your next role? Would you like to gain some further experience within the defence industry? If so this vacancy could be for you!

Advantage Resourcing is working with a Major Aerospace and Defence client and has a vacancy for 6 month contract role in Preston. This will be working within the companies Shared Service Department focusing on IT Projects.
Typically, candidates from a Defence and/or IT outsourcing/consultancy background will be preferred due to the supplier/customer engagement required.

Please note this role is inside of IR35 before applying.

Responsibilities:

*Adheres to regulatory processes and procedures relevant to the project. May include the companies Project Management methodology, life cycle management and external customer requirements.
*Collaborates with PMO on knowledge transfer, lessons learned simplification of project management processes as appropriate and compatible with the concept of continuous improvement across the business
*Collaborates with 3rd party suppliers to drive successful business outcomes
*Provides effective leadership to the delivery team and suppliers; able to take appropriate action to address any issues
*Participate in activities and function wide initiatives as a member of the PPM Delivery Management.
*Ensure project resource are appropriately costed and accounted for in line with budgetary limits
*Manage the delivery of the project to time cost and schedule in accordance with business success criteria and customer satisfaction.

*Leads and manages the delivery of small -medium complexity projects or work package within a larger project.
*Typically manages a single supplier
*Identifies and manages project level risks, issues, opportunities
*Prepares and manages realistic project plans.
*Track project changes
*Manage RAID Logs
*Project reporting as required by the project assurance framework, PPM, customers and stakeholders
*Monitor costs and resources against agreed budgets, take appropriate action for any overspends
*Identify and record lessons learned.
*Ensure Business benefits are tracked and delivered.
