You will be the first DBA/database developer in our team which consists of many talented and highly experienced IT professionals. You can expect to be working with different database technologies and hosting platforms. You will be working closely with our DevSecOps team on improving our ways of working and promoting best practices. Big part of the role is education and consultancy within and outside of the team.

  • Administer MS SQL Server databases (user access, backups strategy, security strategy, audit, encryption)
  • Design databases and infrastructure fit for purpose
  • Support live systems
  • Data quality assurance
  • Manage deployment process of new versions of BI solutions
  • Develop, support and maintain BI solutions (including database engine, ETL, cubes, SSRS reports, web application)
  • Work with DevSecOps Team
  • Identify and resolve performance problems

Your Responsibilities

You’ll bring your extensive industry experience to lead a team of junior problem solvers. You will be designing strategies and working through to execution, whilst solving complex business issues. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coding, testing, debugging and deploying scripting solutions
  • Understanding business and technical requirements; develop, document and implement solution design
  • Forging and building new relationships throughout Operate to ensure the visibility of the Technology team’s production capability
  • Hands on delivery of solutions throughout the entire life cycle, including day-to-day management of ongoing engagements
  • Ensure that deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical and performance requirements
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

Essential Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in any subject
  • 3-4 years relevant industry experience for those applying at Senior Associate level, and 5 years for manager level, preferably in an IT-related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in problem solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions
  • Have a strong understanding of working methodologies such as Agile, and Waterfall.
  • Willingness to expand technical knowledge in a broad range of client facing projects
  • Proven ability to be a team player, while retaining the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Proven capability to communicate verbally and in writing with stakeholders at a variety of levels
  • Experience in data handling, manipulation and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of best practice in data visualisation and presentation
  • Python/R, SQL, Google App Script/JavaScript and visual basic
  • Knowledge of Data Analytical tools (Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server)
  • Analytical and project management skills

  • Exposure to any elements of Artificial Intelligence such as Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning
