The Role


The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will:
Provide technical delivery of software activities to meet timescale and cost targets for R&D products and customer projects
Technical ownership of embedded software for a range of vehicle domains (e.g. powertrain, body, chassis), through development and validation of electrical and electronic systems
Support system integration, provide debugging capability during development and deliver production ready solutions
Interface with suppliers and partners with technical requirements and feedback for existing and new designs
Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g. electronic hardware, control SW etc.) to develop modern, innovative and practical solutions

The Candidate

The Senior Embedded Systems Engineer will have:

Degree qualified in an Engineering or Science related discipline
Experience supporting systems engineering processes and software development lifecycle
Experience of embedded firmware development, deployed onto and interfacing with bespoke hardware
Significant experience of C/C++ languages in real-time embedded systems
Knowledge of the design of functional safety compliant software, as per ISO 26262
Experience of software development to AUTOSAR and MISRA C coding standards and guidelines
The application of systems and software modelling languages (e.g. UML, SysML) and tools (e.g. Simulink, Targetlink)
Familiarity with Automotive SPICE development framework
Automotive communications protocols e.g. CAN, CAN-FD, Flexray, UDS, OBD, J1939 etc.

Desirable:
DFMEA on Safety Critical Systems/Functions and
Experience of Software Programming Safety Critical Systems/Functions
Experience of Electronic Hardware Safety Critical Systems/Functions
Demonstrates and understanding Safety Requirements

They are currently looking for friendly & approachable people to join their customerside leakage team. Ideally you will have previous experience or worked as a Leakage Technician. You will be  working on behalf of the local water company to explain their maybe an issue with a water leak on their property and then investigating the issue so the water company can get it repaired.

This role would suit someone who has a friendly personality and is able to give excellent customer care as the face of the water company. Due to the nature of today world, you will need to explain you are not selling anything and just trying to support the customer by carrying out the duties of the water company which is to reduce water leakage and ensure the customer is getting the best quality of water.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hard working individual to gain new skills and technical knowledge of the water industry and progress your career.
