They are currently looking for a CAD Technician who is competent in using Bentley Microstation to help in the delivery of several high profile projects in the Rail Sector such as HS2 and TRU amongst others

Roles/Responsibilities

  • You will be working in multi-disciplinary teams, some of your roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation of project design drawings
  • Coordinate with internal & external team members / design teams to assist in the Design process, providing independent checking & review services where required.
  • Liaise with colleagues, other departments and project teams with respect to drawing requirements
  • Provide the Project Engineering Team with CAD & Design support throughout the project.
  • Ensure that drawings are prepared, stored, issued and archived in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure that chargeable work can be evaluated by the preparation of adequate records of time spent
  • Train other staff members on the use of MicroStation by means of individual coaching group training courses as appropriate
  • Assist, when required, with storage, filing and archiving of documents
  • Becoming familiar and compliant with Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and to promote SHEW culture within your team


Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Substantial experience in being a CAD Technician
