Your new role
As the Accounts Assistant you will primarily be reporting to the Finance Manager and your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing supplier invoices/Purchase ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control and Aged Debtor report
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Processing Expense Claims for 5 to 6 employees
  • Assisting in month and year end process
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting the Finance Manager where required

Providing PA duties to the Managing Director you will be responsible for diary management, booking flights and accommodation for business trips, taking meeting minutes as well as other ad hoc duties.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be confident in transactional finance with the drive to succeed in an evolving role which could lead to further opportunities for the right individual. You will need to have the ability to work under pressure and be highly organised.

What you'll get in return
The successful applicant will receive a salary up to £23,000 with 23 days holiday (not including bank holidays). The company is very sociable with many events to take part in. Your working hours will be 8:15 to 5pm Monday to Thursday with an earlier finish on a Friday of 3pm.

The right candidate will be responsible for UI software development life cycle, primarily focused on improving the user experience. You will also work closely with the other developers in determining and providing solutions to new business requirements whilst building the new strategic platform which will transform the way in which the bank performs risk assessments. This involves proposing and providing feedback from experience/knowledge improving UX and user workflow.

You will work with the COA and product portfolio leads to understand existing estate and capability. You will also work with a project manager / portfolio lead to create a plan for delivery and hand over requirements from proposals to project leaders during the initiation phase. You will be involved in the development of project work orders to provide commercial estimates of the cost and effort to deliver projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have the ability to understand roadmaps and capabilities to interpret workplace solutions and services into common sets of requirements. You will have experience of technical proposal writing and estimating as well as establishing requirements libraries for reuse. Experience of SharePoint and Excel would be ideal.
