A global hedge fund is working with Harrington Starr to find a Junior Infrastructure Engineer (Windows, Linux, RedHat, Networks, Python, Powershell, Troubleshooting, VMware, MS Office) to join their technical team based in their London head office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business in any technical issues both in person and remotely. You will have the opportunity to resolve desktop issues, configure networks and VPNs as well as server side troubleshooting and project work.

To be considered for the position of Junior Infrastructure Engineer (Windows, Linux, RedHat, Networks, Python, Powershell, Troubleshooting, VMware, MS Office) you must have:

  • Experience with at least Windows 7 and Linux Operating Systems, preferably RedHat
  • An understanding of networking fundamentals
  • A computational degree from a recognised Russell group university
  • An enthusiasm and passion for IT is essential
  • Experience with a scripting language is extremely beneficial, preferably Powershell or Python
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must
