One of our local clients based in Cardiff are currently recruiting for the role of Technical Project Manager.
Job Purpose:
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for:
The role will manage a small team of electrical engineers responsible for the delivery of new installation, maintenance and commissioning of fire and intruder alarms and periodic electrical inspections across the authority.
The role will be able to undertake the design, specification and project management of Electrical projects in a lead or support role depending on project complexity or scale.
Management of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and to quality expectations.
Job Specific Requirements
The design and specification of security solutions including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), fire, intruder and environmental alarms and access control in accordance with current guidelines, standards and regulations.
Lead in the Project Management and delivery of complex and high-risk security related projects, ensuring they are delivered within time and budget to quality expectations.
Support and provide the day to day management, supervision and guidance of the Electrical Team, including allocating work, performing design reviews, ensuring projects are effectively delivered and managing the teams' performance.
Manage external consultants in the delivery of projects, ensuring KPIs are met and quality is maintained.
The proactive liaison with other services within the Council and across other disciplines within Facilities Management & Housing Development and wider Design and Construction Service.
Providing specialist technical advice and support within Cardiff Council and across other disciplines within Facilities Management & Housing Development and wider Design and Construction Service.
Lead discussions related specifically to electrical services.
Supporting the Operational Manager in the delivery of all technical 24/7 related projects.
