Cognos Developer

A leading and expanding BI and analytics consultancy based in Glasgow are currently going through a major period of growth and are looking to hire a number of Data Consultants to join the team. The company have identified a gap in the market and are looking to increase their headcount of specialist analytics consultants, enabling them to continue providing their first class service to even more businesses across central Scotland.

The clients they are working with are asking for more and more help with their internal data functions and this consultancy are needing new bodies to help out. They have focused over the last 10 years on traditional Business Intelligence and still believe organisations need to "sort out" their data. They focus on many different technologies including Cognos, MicroStrategy, QlikView, SAS and Microsoft, to name a few.

Currently they are looking for a candidate with a strong Cognos Development background and ideally SSIS skills but would consider people from a variety of technology backgrounds. The company offer strong training opportunities, unlike some other consultancies and are keen to listen to their employees and develop them in the right areas.

Key Skills required:

** Ideally 3+ years Congos experience
** Any consultancy experience would be beneficial
** Ideally good knowledge of SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
** Proficient in Data Modelling
** ETL/Data Warehouse Skills are beneficial but not essential
** Any cloud based knowledge would also be beneficial
** A valid UK driving licence or ability to travel easily

You will receive a certain number of days per year of pure training, as the organisation make sure you are constantly developing new skills. You could be expected to work on-site with a number of clients but the rest of the time will be spent in their Glasgow city centre offices enhancing your skill set and working on background projects. The majority of the work is centred around the central belt, however they do have some clients based in Dundee and Aberdeen. They also offer a quarterly bonus scheme.

If you are interested in working for this expanding consultancy, please apply or call Tom at Cathcart Associates.
