An opportunity has arisen in our Production Support team for an Applications Support Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide technical direction across systems and applications; leverage skills across multiple apps support areas
  • To develop, maintain and enhance monitoring solutions, which will require scripting knowledge to create advanced monitoring solutions
  • To monitor and maintain platform stability during all business hours
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team
  • Provide a holistic view of the production environment for both technology and business management, working closely as a trusted partner for senior business heads
  • Provide guidance on feedback reviews with development managers, ensuring outstanding issues are tracked to closure, particularly long-term strategic fixes
  • Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution
  • Managing communications across business and technology stakeholders at varying levels across a medium to large scale enterprise.
  • Managing Multiple Applications Establishing ITIL best practices Processes and Procedures.
  • Building Application dashboard using App Dynamics/ Elk  show application resiliency
  • Technical hands during major production incidents

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience with Unix
  • Scripting : 3-5 experience writing Shell, batch, JIL or PowerShell scripts, writing SQL queries
  • Middleware : Supported Websphere, Java and IHS applications
  • Messaging : Supporting MQ and NDM. Tibco Support EMS/BW is a big plus
  • Monitoring Tools : App Dynamics, Geneos ITRS, ELK experience is an advantage
  • Deployment Tools : Have worked on enterprise 1 click deployment tools
  • Worked on Incident management and tracking tools
  • Experience in Autosys Job Scheduling and setup
  • Basic understanding of network topology, Firewalls and Load balancers
  • Basic understanding or PKI and SSL certificates

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related  field with 5+ years

Post Trade Technology

The role: PTT Architecture Project Manager 
Delivering high-quality and timely solutions across the platform requires strong project management and communication, along with business analysis, product knowledge, technical and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have good experience in financial markets and large scale systems, and in working on complex technology projects, plus navigating and getting things done in large organizations. They will look for scalable sustainable solutions and seek opportunities to apply common solutions as widely as possible. They will work within the PTT Architecture team, and drive the implementation of technology change programs across multiple lines of business. They will be a hands-on project manager. Communication is key and they will formulate strategies and put in place processes to efficiently gather and report detailed status and communicate program expectations.
 
Key Responsibilities Project management and oversight of the deliverables of 270+ applications, distributed across many different technology teams across the PTT stack.
o  Taking direction from the Program Lead, drives the successful delivery of PTT technology programs.
o  Captures/Tracks all application level status information
o  Follows up with PTT Chief Business Technologist (CBT) groups to ensure program is on track and highlights risk/issue/dependency areas.
o  Provide regular updates to senior and program management in technology and ensures that all MIS is complete and up to date.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide training and to communicate effectively with people and organizations with a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English language. Working knowledge of French or additional languages would be a plus due to the need to cover French-speaking markets.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking individual with data analysis, problem solving and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Equivalent experience with credit risk management and/or loan documentation would be an advantage.
